Patent number: 11532244Abstract: Ultrasound (US) simulation systems and methods are provided, which utilize computer tomography (CT) data to generate US simulation images, offline or online. Systems and methods repeatedly derive and display consecutive US simulation images that correspond to consecutively-derived corresponding US slices (according to the changing locations and orientations of a dummy US transducer mimicking the US transducer with respect to a physical patient model)—that define geometrically US simulation regions. The US simulation images are at least partly derived from CT data using a CT to US conversion model. Acoustic parameters (e.g., tissue density, acoustic attenuation and impedance) are calculated and integrated per pixel, along beams in the US slice, to form the US image. Additional modelling may be used to calculate reflection and scattering and their effects on the image pixels, and enhancements such as animation and flow data may be added.Type: GrantFiled: September 17, 2020Date of Patent: December 20, 2022Assignee: Simbionix Ltd.Inventors: Yaron Peleg, Victor Levin

Patent number: 8289902Abstract: The invention relates to a device to be used in a wireless communication system with CSMA-based MAC, comprising transmitting circuitry for transmitting at least a first and a second RTS message and at least a first and a second data packet on a transmission medium, and a spatially selective antenna. It is further proposed that the device uses a distributed antenna that combines the antenna elements of several devices and that the device observes the transmissions of other devices, analyzes the observed transmissions for transmission patterns and adapts its own transmissions to the detected transmission patterns. The invention further relates to a system, a method and a computer program to be used in a wireless communication system.Type: GrantFiled: March 19, 2009Date of Patent: October 16, 2012Assignee: Go Net Systems LtdInventors: Yaron Fein, Yaron Peleg

Patent number: 7653200Abstract: A multiple entity gateway for supporting cellular authentication from a non-cellular network, the gateway comprising a plurality of entities each located at a different one of a plurality of secure zones and having at least one gap between said entities across said secure zones, said gateway being configured to predefine communication signals allowed across said gap between said entities, thereby to filter out non-allowed signals, and provide secure cellular authentication for a communication originating from said non-cellular network. The gateway allows cellular users to connect to a cellular network via a wireless local area network such as a hotspot, use the services of the cellular network, the Internet and the hotspot at will, and be securely authenticated and charged through the cellular infrastructure.Type: GrantFiled: March 13, 2003Date of Patent: January 26, 2010Assignee: Flash Networks LtdInventors: Yair Karmi, Sara Bitan-Erlich, Stuart Jeffery, Eyal Katz, Yaron Peleg

Patent number: 7522552Abstract: Described herein is a device to be used in a wireless communication system with CSMA-based MAC, comprising a mechanism for transmitting at least a first and second Request-to-Send (RTS) messages and at least first and second data packets on a transmission medium, and a spatially selective antenna. In one aspect, the device uses a distributed antenna that combines the antenna elements of several devices and the device observes the transmissions of other devices, analyzes the observed transmissions for transmission patterns and adapts its own transmissions to the detected transmission patterns. Also described is a corresponding system, method and computer program to be used in a wireless communication system.Type: GrantFiled: November 9, 2004Date of Patent: April 21, 2009Assignee: Patents - Professional Solutions (PRO-PATS) LtdInventors: Yaron Fein, Yaron Peleg
