  • Patent number: 11092018
Abstract: Damping members for turbocharger assemblies, methods for providing turbocharger assemblies, and turbocharger assemblies are described herein. The damping members include bodies having shapes to fit between a recess extending into a rotor disk of a turbocharger and laterally protruding shoulders of platforms in neighboring blades of the turbocharger. The bodies dampen vibrations of the blades during rotation of the blades. The damping members may include a variety of shapes, such as a sheet, a wedge, a tapered pin, a cylindrical pin, a bent sheet, or another shape.

  • Patent number: 10865635
Abstract: A method of controlling a gas vent system to vent gas from a wellbore that includes a substantially horizontal portion. The method includes determining an initial operating mode of the gas vent system; generating one or more control signals established for the determined initial operation mode; and transmitting the one or more control signals to a gas vent valve that commands the closing or opening of the gas vent valve. A controller for use in venting gas from a wellbore is additionally disclosed.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 14, 2017
Date of Patent: December 15, 2020
Assignee: Baker Hughes Oilfield Operations, LLC

  • Publication number: 20180111759
Abstract: A system for discharging dry solids into high pressure environments is disclosed. The system includes a hopper, a feeder device coupled to the hopper, and a discharge device disposed downstream relative to the feeder device. The feeder device includes a rotatable casing including a plurality of pockets, a stationary core disposed within the rotatable casing, and a plurality of valves. Each pocket includes an inlet, an outlet, and a plurality of first through-holes. The stationary core includes a plurality of channels, where each channel includes a plurality of second through-holes. Each valve is disposed at the outlet of a corresponding pocket from the plurality of pockets. The discharge device includes a valve actuator configured to actuate each valve.
