  • Patent number: 10195949
Abstract: A charger, in one possible configuration, has an AC/DC converter that converts alternating current power supplied from an external alternating current power supply into direct current power and outputs the direct current power, a DC/DC converter that transforms the direct current power output by the AC/DC converter and supplies the transformed direct current power to a vehicle-mounted battery, and a safety control unit that forcibly stops the DC/DC converter with detection of an occurrence of a fault during charging of the vehicle-mounted battery as a trigger, and subsequently causes the AC/DC converter to stop normally.

  • Publication number: 20160285290
Abstract: In a charger, according to one possible configuration, a pulse signal from a DC/DC converter control unit and a signal from a main safety control unit are applied to a mask. The mask outputs a result of an AND operation on the signals to a gate drive unit and a checking unit. The main safety control unit temporarily changes the output signal from an H level to an L level at a predetermined timing in a state where no information indicating a fault of the charging operation is acquired, and holds the output signal for a predetermined time. When a pulse signal is output without the output of the mask switching to an L level during this time, the checking unit outputs an H level signal. When acquiring the H level signal from the checking unit, the main safety control unit determines that the mask is not operating normally.

  • Patent number: 7501787
Abstract: An inverter that supplies a desired primary voltage (v1) to an induction motor, a current detector that detects a primary current (i1) from the inverter to the induction motor, a voltage designation value calculating unit that generates a voltage designation value (v1*) for generating the voltage v1, an idling-time speed estimating unit that calculates an estimate value (?r#) of the rotation speed when the induction motor is idling, and a sequence circuit that commands the operations of these units are provided. The idling-time speed estimating unit switches a method for deriving the estimate value on the basis of a current value in the case where a short circuit is generated between windings when the induction motor is idling.
