A resin safety valve member closing the gas vent hole includes an annular joined portion hermetically joined to the annular seal surface and an inside portion located more inside than the annular joined portion in a radial direction. The inside portion breaks when the internal pressure of the battery case reaches a valve opening pressure, thereby opening the resin safety valve member.

    Abstract: A device for cooling a reflecting mirror for reflecting a laser beam is disclosed. A porous member, which permits flow of a cooling fluid through it and has a high thermal conductivity, is held in contact with the reflecting mirror to be cooled. The porous member has a bore coincident with the center of the reflecting surface of the reflecting mirror, at which the laser beam is reflected, and is open on the side opposite the reflecting mirror. Cooling fluid is permitted to flow into the porous member through the bore thereof to improve the heat exchange between the cooling fluid and reflecting mirror, thus improving the cooling capacity and also permitting effective cooling of the reflecting portion of the reflecting mirror, at which the laser beam is reflected.

A label application device for applying labels to these containers is formed as a unit block which may be detachably mounted on the main body. When mounted, the label application device receives driving force from the driving source for rotating the turntable. The label application device is provided with a lock mechanism, which enables to carry out mounting and dismounting operations with ease and security.

When the engaging member is turned, the bottle is rotated to a predetermined angular position together with the engaging member after the spot is brought into engagement with the engaging member. In the case where the bottle is turned, the bottle is not rotated after the spot is brought into engagement with the fixed engaging member.

    Abstract: A label feeding apparatus for removing labels with the use of suction one by one from a label magazine in which a quantity of labels are stored and sending it to a label sticking device where labels are stuck to containers such as bottles and cans. The label feeding apparatus comprises a pivotally supported guide lever on which a slide member is slidably mounted. The slide member is provided with a label holding mechanism including suction members. The cooperation between the pivotal motion of the guide lever and the reciprocating motion of the slide member defines a particular closed path of the movement of the label holding mechanism. During one cycle of this closed path, one label is removed from the label magazine and fed to the label sticking device.
