    Abstract: In a connector including an insulator and a contact held by the insulator, a fixing member is coupled to the insulator for fixing the insulator to an object. The fixing member includes a main body received in a receiving portion formed to the insulator. A leg mechanism extends from the main body for being fixed to the object. In addition, a first engaging mechanism extends from the main body and is engaged with the receiving portion in a first direction. On the other hand, the second engaging mechanism extends from the main body and is engaged with the insulator in a second direction opposite to the first direction.

    Abstract: In a connector to be connected to a cable having a core wire, a retainer is fitted into a rear portion of an insulator holding a contact. The core wire is crimped by a wire crimping barrel formed to the contact. The cable is clamped in cooperation with the retainer and the insulator and extracted through the rear portion of the insulator. In addition, the contact has a locking barrel. On the other hand, the retainer includes a locking portion which is engaged with the locking barrel to prevent the contact from being released rearward from the insulator.

The core wire crimping portion has a base portion for receiving the core wire and a first core wire barrel extending from the base portion for crimping the core wire to cover an outside of the core wire. The first core wire barrel has a relatively longer length from the base portion at a part relatively far from the cladding crimping portion and a relatively shorter length from the base portion at another part relatively near to the cladding crimping portion.

    Abstract: In an electrical jumper connector unit having two connectors connecting two electronic circuit boards included in an information processing apparatus, there are a first connector, a plate, a second connector fixed on the plate, and plural discrete cables connecting both the two connectors in a shell las a casing of the electrical jumper connector unit. The plate is included in the shell so as to move in any direction within a predetermined range relative to the shell, and a pair of knobs is fixed to the plate so as to protrude from a pair of openings of the shell. When the pair of the knobs moves in any direction within the predetermined range to the shell, the second connector fixed to the plate moves in the same way. When the second connector fixed to the plate agrees with an external output connector fixed on one of the two electronic circuit boards, the motion of the pair of the knobs discontinues.

    Abstract: An insulator having a through hole has at its rear end portion a square-shaped pedestal portion projecting down therefrom, and the pedestal portion has a slot extending forwardly from its rear end face and communicating with the through hole. A center conductor has a contact portion for engagement with the mating connector, a middle portion, and a terminal portion bent at right angles to the axis of the through hole of the insulator. The contact portion projects forwardly of the insulator in its axial direction, the terminal portion passes through the slot of the pedestal portion and projects at right angles to the axis of the through hole, and the middle portion of the center conductor is inserted in the through hole. The insulator carrying the center conductor is housed in a housing portion of an external conductor stamped out of a resilient metallic plate through press work, and the external conductor and the insulator are engaged with each other.
