  • Publication number: 20110104803
Abstract: Biologically low invasive vessels are filled with biological factors that have the activity of mobilizing specific functional cells in the body. The vessels are indwelled in the body. After specific functional cells are mobilized into the vessels, the vessels are removed from the body to collect functional cell populations mobilized to the vessels. Alternatively, the cells are directly collected from the vessels indwelled in the body.

  • Publication number: 20110097309
Abstract: The present inventors assessed the possibility that bone marrow-derived cells are mobilized to the grafted skin from nonskin tissues and contribute to skin tissue regeneration during the engraftment of grafted skin on biological tissues. As a result, the present inventors for the first time in the world demonstrated that: (1) a large number of bone marrow-derived cells are mobilized to grafted skin; (2) mobilized bone marrow-derived cells differentiate into any of dermal fibroblasts, adipocytes, muscle cells, vascular endothelial cells, and epidermal keratinocytes in grafted skin, and thus mobilized bone marrow-derived cells include bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells; (3) S100A8 and S100A9 released from necrotic tissues of grafted skin are responsible for mobilizing bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells to the grafted skin from peripheral blood; and (4) purified S100A8 and S100A9 promote the migration of mesenchymal stem cells isolated/cultured from the bone marrow.

  • Publication number: 20110091928
Abstract: The present invention for the first time demonstrated that: (1) bone marrow-derived pluripotent tissue stem cells can be induced in peripheral blood by intravenously administering tissue extract prepared from isolated skin pieces; (2) the substance in the isolated skin pieces, which is responsible for mobilizing bone marrow-derived pluripotent tissue stem cells to peripheral blood, is HMGB1; and (3) HMGB1 with the activity of mobilizing bone marrow-derived pluripotent stem cells to peripheral blood can be easily purified from cultured cells.

  • Patent number: 7871765
Abstract: The present invention is intended to provide a pharmaceutical composition for delivering a chemotherapeutic, preferably an anticancer drug, into cells or into a living organism, using a viral envelope vector, and provides a pharmaceutical composition comprising a chemotherapeutic encapsulated in, or used in combination with, a viral envelope vector having an adjuvanticity as an active ingredient. Thereby it is possible to introduce an anticancer drug encapsulated in a viral envelope vector directly into a tumor, with coadministration of another anticancer drug so as to induce tumor cell-specific antitumor immunity also thanks to the adjuvant action of HVJ-E, and hence to regress the tumor. The present invention also provides a pharmaceutical composition comprising a viral envelope vector and a chemotherapeutic as active ingredients.
