  • Patent number: 7849703
Abstract: In a vehicle air conditioner, when a passenger set temperature of a vehicle compartment is changed through an operation portion by a passenger, a storage portion updates a value of a control set temperature corresponding to a predetermined point of a detection area at a time of the changing operation to a value of the changed passenger set temperature, and stores therein the value of the updated temperature. Furthermore, when the detection point is not any one of the predetermined points, a control portion interpolates and calculates a control set temperature corresponding to the detection point from the control set temperature stored in the predetermined point of the detection area and the control set temperature stored in the predetermined point of a surrounding area around the detection area, and then controls the air-conditioning state in the vehicle compartment based on the interpolated and calculated control set temperature.

  • Patent number: 6552457
Abstract: A support structure for a drive source such as a motor of the blower is disclosed in which the generation of noise caused by the vibration of the motor is suppressed. The flange of a support member has a low-stiffness portion having a thickness smaller than a high-stiffness portion of the same flange. The low-stiffness portion is thus vibrated more easily than the high-stiffness portion. When the motor vibrates, therefore, the vibration rate of the low-stiffness portion increases beyond that of the high-stiffness portion, so that the low-stiffness portion vibrates considerably. The motor vibration is thus absorbed by the flange (support member) and the transmission of the motor vibration to a casing can be suppressed. As a result, the area of the sound source of the blower is decreased as a whole, thereby making it possible to suppress the generation of noise caused by the vibration of the motor.

  • Patent number: 5162020
Abstract: An air-conditioner has a heater core in an air passage. A bypass passage is formed within the air passage and at a side portion of the heater core. A holding shaft is pivotally disposed at the boundary between an air-flow through the heater core and an air-flow through the bypass passage. A sliding shaft is disposed upstream of the heater core and slides to cross a substantially whole area of the air passage. A first end and second end of a variable length damper which varies its length are connected to the sliding shaft and the holding shaft respectively so that the variable length damper moves in such a manner that its length varies in response to a distance between the sliding shaft and the holding shaft.

  • Patent number: 4473109
Abstract: A control apparatus has input devices, actuators and a single chip microcomputer and is applied to control air conditioning units carried in a cab-over wagon or a one-box car. The thermal loads of the compartment sections to be air conditioned are determined by the microcomputer on the basis of informations from the input devices and calculations in accordance with the control programs written in the microcomputer. The thermal loads of the compartment sections and the desired temperatures thereof are considered in the microcomputer, which outputs various command signals into the actuators so as to actuate front and rear air conditioning units to maintain the compartment sections to be air conditioned at the desired temperatures.

  • Patent number: 4434932
Abstract: An air-conditioner control system for an automobile includes a shifting unit for shifting the direction of flow of conditioned air supplied to the vehicle compartment between a first flow direction including the direction of an object occupant and a second flow direction excluding the direction of the object occupant. A control unit determines the shift position of the shifting unit and selects the flow direction between the first and second flow directions in response to the difference between the vehicle compartment temperature and a desired temperature and an information indicative of an ambient temperature value or an information indicative of the value of solar radiation incident to the vehicle compartment.

  • Patent number: 4325426
Abstract: An air conditioner system for sensing and controlling the temperature in the compartment of an automotive vehicle to an established desired temperature includes an over-correction means whereby the vehicle compartment temperature is temporarily increased to exceed the desired temperature and the temperature rise is terminated after the sensed temperature has attained or nearly attained the desired temperature. When the sensed temperature rises so that the difference between it and the desired temperature exceeds a reference value, the corresponding correction signal is generated and correction is applied repeatedly so as to make the difference less than the reference value and thereby to attain the desired compartment temperature.
