Publication number: 20180025668Abstract: [Technical Problem] It was difficult to replicate the wide-ranging brightness magnitude of tiny stars through the starry sky reproduction apparatus to replicate the whole sky with details as deeply as the observation through astronomical telescopes. [Solution to Problem] According to the present invention, the starry sky reproduction apparatus is a laminating sheet that is pasted up N layers (N?2) of light reducing effect sheet. Under the condition that M and L is integer number, magnitude is N?M>L?1, and when the laminating sheet is stacked L layers, the L-Layer light transmittable through hole will be formed. Light beam can go over the sheet passing through the hole.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 12, 2016Publication date: January 25, 2018Inventor: Yasufumi Mase

Patent number: 7825996Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed which projects light onto a retina of a viewer, to thereby allow the viewer to perceive a display object via a virtual image. The apparatus includes: an emitter emitting light; a modulator modulating the light; a display unit outputting the modulated light to the retina of the viewer through an exit of the display unit, to thereby display in an image display region an image representative of the display object in the form of a virtual image; and a controller controlling the emitter and the modulator so that the image is displayed in the image display region. The controller detects a relative motion of the viewer with respect to a position of the viewer, and performs at least one of control of a display/non-display status of the image, and control of a display position of the image, in accordance with the detected relative motion.Type: GrantFiled: April 28, 2006Date of Patent: November 2, 2010Assignee: Brother Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Shoji Yamada, Yasufumi Mase

Patent number: 7126727Abstract: A scanner is provided with a small and low-priced lighting member. The scanner scans an object having undulations on a surface thereof with good quality. The object is placed on a scanning platform. A CCD line sensor incorporated in a camera is positioned facing the scanning platform and scans the object line by line, while moving along an image plane on a lens of an optical scanning system for a specified distance. The lighting member irradiates a scanned position with light from above in a slanting direction under the same condition. The lighting member is moved in synch with the scanned position shifted when the CCD line sensor scans one line, so that the irradiation angle is constant entirely on the object to be scanned. Therefore, shadows of the undulations on the surface of the object are formed under the same conditions as those observed under the natural light without loss of stereoscopic effect of the object.Type: GrantFiled: August 20, 2002Date of Patent: October 24, 2006Assignee: Brother Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventor: Yasufumi Mase

Publication number: 20050179565Abstract: In an information processing apparatus for the visually impaired, information having, a structure that can be two-dimensionally expanded is divided into pieces of block unit information. The block unit information are mapped to key tops that can be set their protrusion amount from an operating plane at three different height. Attributes and descriptions are represented by sound/voice and the block unit information of a subordinate level is expanded and represented when a predetermined key top is operated. Even if the key tops are limited in number, a complicated hierarchical structure and a layout can be effectively browsed and information can be edited using voice input. Accordingly, the visually impaired can effectively read and edit information. This principal can be applied to specifying and using functions of a personal computer that is hierarchically structured and displaying drawings or mathematical expressions.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 6, 2005Publication date: August 18, 2005Inventors: Yasufumi Mase, Yasuhiro Watanabe
