Patent number: 9902563Abstract: A conveyor is provided with a supply roll, a corrective holding part and an additional holding part. The supply roll rotatably supports a belt-shaped cell material for an electrode or a separator. The corrective holding part conveys and holds the cell material fed out from the supply roll while bending a first side surface of the cell material that lies against an outer peripheral side of the supply roll into a concave shape. The additional holding part conveys and holds the cell material while bending a second side surface of the cell material into a concave shape. The holding parts include a curved contact surfaces that contact opposite side surface of the cell material. The curved contact surface of the corrective holding part has a radius of curvature that is less than a radius of curvature of the curved contact surface of the additional holding part.Type: GrantFiled: February 13, 2013Date of Patent: February 27, 2018Assignees: Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., Automotive Energy Service CorporationInventors: Takeshi Iwata, Yasufumi Okazaki, Keisuke Uekusa, Osamu Tanimoto

Patent number: 9216861Abstract: A conveyor is provided with a conveyor section, a controller, a confirming part and a detecting part. The conveyor section conveys a belt-shaped work having a plurality of reference points arrayed discontinuously on a surface. The controller selectively operates the conveyor section for intermittently conveying the work for each prescribed interval as a first conveying mode and continuously conveying the work as a second conveying mode. The controller further operates continues the first conveying mode when the reference points are confirmed by a confirming part during the first conveying mode and switching to the second conveying mode when the reference points are not confirmed by the confirming part. The controller further continues the second conveying mode until the reference points are detected by the detecting part during the second conveying mode and switching to the first conveying mode when the reference points are detected by the detecting part.Type: GrantFiled: February 13, 2013Date of Patent: December 22, 2015Assignees: Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., Automotive Energy Supply CorporationInventors: Atsushi Adachi, Tetsurou Tashiro, Shinji Ishimatsu, Yasufumi Okazaki

Patent number: 8844795Abstract: In some examples, an electrode plate K is conveyed to a gap 230 of a pair of stacking drums 210 and 220 with a conveying section 100. In synchronization with conveyance of the electrode plate K, the drums 210 and 220 feed a pair of separators S each formed into a predetermined shape with the separators S adhering to corresponding peripheral surfaces of the pair of drums 210 and 220. While feeding the electrode plate K forward in a generally horizontal manner, the separators S are sequentially stacked on both surfaces of the electrode plate K in synchronized with rotations of the drums 210 and 220, and both edge portions of the separators S are welded.Type: GrantFiled: February 18, 2011Date of Patent: September 30, 2014Assignees: Kyoto Seisakusho Co., Ltd., Nissan Motor Co., Ltd.Inventors: Yasuhiro Yano, Manabu Yamashita, Hiroshi Yuhara, Takahiro Yanagi, Yasufumi Okazaki
