  • Patent number: 5081855
Abstract: A slide fastener lock assembly comprises a slider pull tab having an engaging pin and a lock having a locking lug releasably engageable therewith. The lock has a latch movable toward and away from the locking lug to lock and unlock the pull tab. A lock tumbler is rotatable by a key to releasably lock the latch with the engaging pin. The pull tab and the lock can be joined together simply by flipping the pull tab down with its aperture fitted over the locking lug.

  • Patent number: 5075066
Abstract: In a method of making an ornament, a metal ornament body having an internal groove opening at one end to an end edge of the metal ornament body and at an opposite end to front and rear surfaces of the metal ornament body is held between two relatively movable mold members while the one end of the internal groove is connected to a gate of the mold members and the opposite end of the internal groove communicates with mold cavities in the mold members. Then, a melted synthetic resin material is injected into the mold cavities through the gate and the internal groove. The gate mark is not formed on the outside surface of an ornamental member molded of synthetic resin but left on the end edge of the metal ornament body. The gate mark thus formed is normally hidden from view and does not deteriorate the aesthetical appearance of the ornament.

  • Patent number: 5067209
Abstract: A slide fastener slider includes a slider body having a mounting hole extending at least through the thickness of an upper wing of the slider body, a circular disk disposed on the upper wing with its central guide hole aligned with the mounting hole, a pull tab pivotally connected to the circular disk, and a headed retainer pin extending loosely through the guide hole and firmly fitted in the mounting hole to rotatably retain the circular disk on the slider body. The circular disk is substantially concealed by an enlarged head of the retainer pin and hence the slider is sightly in appearance. The mounting hole in which the retainer pin is firmly fitted extends through a guide post of the slider body so that the pull tab is firmly retained on the slider body against detachment even when the pull tab is manipulated with a severe pulling force.

  • Patent number: 5007144
Abstract: A slide fastener slider comprises upper and lower wings joined together at their one ends by a connecting neck and having respective lateral flanges, and a thermal insulating backing such as of plastics material substantially coextensive with the lower wing. The backing is secured to the lower wing by injection-molding, rivetting, or snapping engagement of hooks on the backing with recesses in the lower wing. Additionally, there is provided for the purpose of heat insulation an air accommodating pocket formed between the backing and the lower wing.

  • Patent number: 4985969
Abstract: A slider pull tab for a slide fastener comprises a pull tab body formed from an elastic, flexible material and a first connector and a second connector, both connectors being formed as an integral unit from a metal or mechanically strong plastics material by simultaneous cast molding and either of said connectors having a pivotal pin about which the pull tab body can freely rotate. The pull tab body is cast-molded integrally with the second connector and has through apertures communicating with connecting bridges to ensure film bond of the surface layers of the pull tab body.

  • Patent number: 4976120
Abstract: A slider lock assembly is disclosed, comprising a pair of male slider and female slider releasably coupled together by a lock tumbler pivotally mounted in a casing, the male slider having an integral extension with a lock cavity engageable with the lock tumbler. The lock tumbler is both rotatable and linearly moveable and operatively associated with dial device or a key-operated latch so that the two sliders can be coupled together selectively in a provisionally locked state or in a completely locked state.

  • Patent number: 4930323
Abstract: Double lockable sliders comprise a pair of first and second sliders reciprocatively mounted on the slide fastener and disposed reversely to each other. When the second pull tab is turned flat against the first pull tab, the engaging projection provided at the distal end and on one surface of the second pull tab comes into the recess formed in one surface of the first pull tab, and the prong provided at one end of the latch member resiliently comes into locking engagement with the indentation formed in one side of the engaging projection. The double lockable sliders further include cam means for imparting to the engaging projection upward motion when the latch member is pulled away from the second slider longitudinally of the slide fastener.

  • Patent number: 4916779
Abstract: An adjustable fastener for interconnecting a first and a second part of an article includes a flat hollow sleeve having a first connecting portion for attachment to the first part, a plug having a second connecting portion for attachment to the second part, a flat body slidably received in a longitudinal guide channel in the sleeve, a locking member slidably held within a transverse guide groove in the sleeve and having a pusher head at an end thereof, and at least one locking projection releasably engageable with one of a row of teeth on the plug body for locking the plug in position against displacement, and a spring held within the sleeve for normally retaining the locking projection in locking engagement with the one tooth and keeping the pusher head to project outwardly of the sleeve. The locking member is movable along the guide groove to disengage the locking projection from the one tooth against the force of the spring when the pusher head is depressed.
