  • Patent number: 8033129
Abstract: A showcase where an illumination device is placed outside a receiving chamber to enable effective use of the space in the receiving chamber. The inside of an insulated box body (16) having front glass (18) fitted in a front opening (56) is defined to form a receiving chamber (52). An upper evaporator (34) is placed in an upper insulating layer (54) of the insulated box body (16) so as to be in contact with a cooling plate (62) defining the upper surface of the receiving chamber (52). An opening (64) is formed in that portion of the cooling plate (62) with which the upper evaporator (34) is not in contact, and a receiving space (66) is formed in that portion of the upper insulating layer (54) to which the opening (64) faces. A holder (78) is placed at the receiving space (66), and inside the holder (78) is received and fixed an LED illumination device (70). The opening (64) is closed by a cover (86) with packing (84) in between, and the inside of the holder (78) is maintained in a sealed state.

  • Publication number: 20080047286
Abstract: The temperature of an accommodating room is adjusted without causing drop of melting water from an upper evaporator onto the accommodated food materials. A cold storage showcase includes a cooling circuit 50 in which an upper evaporator 40 provided on an upper side of an accommodating room 14 and a lower evaporator 42 provided on a lower side of the accommodating room 14 are connected to a cooling apparatus. The upper evaporator 40 and the lower evaporator 42 are connected in parallel with the cooling apparatus. An electromagnetic valve SV for supplying or interrupting circulation of a cooling medium in the lower evaporator 42 is provided halfway a second route R2 on an upstream side of the lower evaporator 42. During a cooling operation, the accommodating room 14 is cooled at all times by the upper evaporator 40. When temperature detecting means Th detects a drop in temperature of the accommodating room 14, the electromagnetic valve SV is closed to stop the cooling by the lower evaporator 42.

  • Patent number: 6564570
Abstract: The cooling efficiency of a refrigerating chamber and a storage chamber is improved, and the cooling capability is prevented from degrading. A horizontal refrigerator 10 is comprised of an underlying refrigerator body 11 and an overlying show-case 12. The show-case 12 disposed on the top surface of a thermally insulated box 16 of the refrigerator body 11 is comprised of an outer box 37, an inner box 38 disposed within the outer box 37 spaced by a necessary space therefrom, and a heat insulating material 39 filled between both boxes 37, 38, and an opening 12a is formed only in a top portion. The opening 12a is opened and closed by a plurality of slidable doors 45. A cooling pipe 47 connected to a refrigerating mechanism is disposed in a meander form in contact with the outer surface on the insulating material side in the bottom and rear portions of the inner box 38, such that the entire inner box 38 is cooled by circulation of a coolant supplied from the refrigerating mechanism.

  • Patent number: 6082131
Abstract: A refrigerator includes a support panel extending sideways from a bottom of a storage heat insulating box at one side of the box. An evaporator heat insulating box is provided for accommodating an evaporator and is formed at the one side of the storage heat insulating box with an equipment accommodating space being formed between itself and the base panel. A back panel extends from the rear wall of the storage heat insulating box so as to form rear walls of the evaporator heat insulating box and the equipment accommodating space, respectively. A side panel is continuous to the back panel so as to define an air circulation space together with a side of the evaporator heat insulating box. A front panel is continuous to the side panel so as to provide a front of the evaporator heat insulating box and the equipment accommodating space.
