  • Patent number: 6920758
Abstract: The objective is to provide a gas turbine and the combustor thereof in which super high frequency combustion oscillation and the generation of NOx are reduced. The fluctuation in pressure which induces the fluctuation in heat liberation is suppressed in the gas turbine combustor comprising a plurality of main fuel supply nozzles, each having a premixing nozzle at the top end part thereof, by providing in the space upstream from the premixing nozzles partition elements for dividing the space along the axis of the combustor or a honeycomb element having air passages in the axial direction, or by providing premixing nozzles composed of cylindrical elements with many holes.

  • Patent number: 6721631
Abstract: The state of combustion oscillation in the combustor of a turbine of a power plant is monitored from a remote monitoring center. To monitor the combustion oscillation state, combustion oscillation data on the combustor is separated into two types of data: the first data obtained on a real-time basis, and the second data including representative values within a predetermined period of time obtained from the first data. In the normal state, a low-speed communications mode is used to send the second data, which is monitored at the monitoring center. If an abnormal state is predicted as a result of monitoring the second data, the high-speed communications mode is used to send the first data, and more detailed combustion oscillation data is monitored at the monitoring center. When a critical state is predicted, an instruction is sent to the local site to switch the operation mode over to the low load operation mode.

  • Publication number: 20030014219
Abstract: The present invention is characterized in that the state of combustion oscillation in the combustor of a turbine of a plant such as a power plant is monitored from a remote monitoring center. To monitor combustion oscillation state, combustion oscillation data on the combustor is separated into two types of data; (1) the first data obtained on a real-time basis, and (2) the second data consisting of representative values within a predetermined period of time obtained from the first data. In the normal state, a low-speed communications mode is used to send the second data, which is monitored at the monitoring center. If an abnormal state is predicted as a result of monitoring the second data, the high-speed communications mode is used to send the first data, and more detailed combustion oscillation data is monitored at-the monitoring center. When a critical state is predicted, an instruction is sent to the local site to switch the operation mode over to the low load operation mode, whenever required.

  • Patent number: 5894938
Abstract: A glass cullet separation apparatus according to the present invention includes a hopper (1), a rotary feeder (6), an inclined guide plate (14), a conveying belt (17), and a foreign glass discrimination device (37). The discriminated device can radiate a laser beam onto a surface of a cullet passing over a slit of the conveying belt (17) for emission therefrom and for discriminating a "yes or no" foreign glass determination by analyzing a spectrum of the emission. Also, included is a color discrimination device (41), a foreign glass discrimination trigger sensor (33), a color discrimination trigger sensor (40), and air nozzles (44) for ejecting the cullet at each predetermined positions which correspond to the cullet of the foreign glass and the cullet of each color. A non-contact type photoelectric sensor (45) is provided for sensing the cullet passing the air nozzle (44).
