  • Publication number: 20140340199
Abstract: A remote control device outputs a wireless signal to operate electronic equipment and includes an operating unit operated by a user, a wireless signal output unit including a first signal output unit and a second signal output unit and configured to output the wireless signal in accordance with the operation, and a determination unit configured to determine whether or not a specified determination condition pertaining to a degree of difficulty for the wireless signal to reach and be received by the electronic equipment is satisfied, and when the determination condition is satisfied, the remote control device transitions from a first operating mode in which the first signal output unit is caused to output the wireless signal and the second signal output unit is caused not to output the wireless signal to a second operating mode in which the first signal output unit and the second signal output unit are caused to output the wireless signal.

  • Publication number: 20120230000
Abstract: A flexible flat cable includes a cable main body and a pair of reinforcing plates. The cable main body includes a pair of resin films and a plurality of linear conductors. The linear conductors are exposed with respect to one of the resin films to form longitudinally extending electrical terminals. Each of the reinforcing plates has a fixed end section. The fixed end sections are fixedly coupled to end portions of the cable main body on the other of the resin films, respectively. The fixed end sections define a pair of bending lines such that the end portions of the cable main body are bendable relative to a middle portion of the cable main body to form acute corners between the end portions and the middle portion, respectively.

  • Patent number: 7707440
Abstract: A power supply unit for an electronic device comprises a three-terminal regulator in a high voltage connection line between a high voltage terminal of a DC power supply circuit and a microcomputer for reducing voltage from the high voltage terminal to a lower first voltage. A low voltage connection line between a low voltage terminal of the power supply circuit and the microcomputer is connected to the high voltage connection line at a connection point on output side of the regulator. In standby mode, voltage from the high voltage terminal, set higher than the first voltage, is reduced by the regulator to the first voltage and supplied to the microcomputer. In power-on mode, voltage from the low voltage terminal, set higher than the first voltage, is applied to the connection point so as to inactivate the regulator and supply the voltage from the low voltage terminal to the microcomputer.

  • Publication number: 20070146303
Abstract: A liquid crystal television receiver reduces the brightness of a backlight which generates light to be passed through a liquid crystal panel and thereby forms an image, to a brightness invisible to human eyes. After the brightness is reduced, a panel signal to the liquid crystal panel is controlled to change from the ON state to the OFF state. After the panel signal is controlled to change to the OFF state, the backlight is controlled to change from the ON state to the OFF state. In this way, the backlight of the liquid crystal panel is controlled so that disturbance in image, which occurs when the panel signal to the liquid crystal panel is changed from the ON state to the OFF state, can easily be prevented from being seen by users.
