  • Publication number: 20090216839
Abstract: To provide a user with better experience of cooperation between an electronic business card processing program and a communication program when exchanging electronic business cards. Electronic business cards are stored in a DB server, which is one of storages for a communication program, as well as an electronic business card local file. Thus, even if a PC is a company's PC, for example, the electronic business cards can be viewed by accessing the DB server from another PC or the like outside an office. Further, the electronic business card processing program operates with the communication program as back-end, however, the electronic business card processing program may not be installed on a PC in some cases. Even in such a case, the communication program alone can display received electronic business cards that are stored in the communication program local file on the screen of a display.

  • Publication number: 20090102088
Abstract: Exemplary embodiments of the present invention can be directed to producing high-density pellets by molding waste plastic and to producing high-strength coke by mixing the pellets with coal and dry-distilling the mixture in a coke oven. As feedstock is used waste plastic that contains polyethylene, polypropylene and polystyrene, which are plastics that soften at a low temperature, at a total rate of about 50% or greater. The waste plastic is molded using a molding method of extruding it from a nozzle of a screw-type stuffing machine. In the method of this invention, the waste plastic can be heated to about 180˜260° C. in the molding machine and gas in the molding machine is sucked out. By this operation, the polyethylene, polypropylene and/or polystyrene are made molten and the amount of gas in the plastic is reduced. The plastic in this state is compression-molded by extrusion from a nozzle of about 15˜60 mm diameter.

  • Patent number: 7488887
Abstract: An attachment part is disposed on a part of the edge of a resonance plate, which is made of a metal containing copper, and a weight is attached to the resonance plate at a predetermined distance from the attachment part. Plural vibration pickups are attached to the surface of the resonance plate between the weight and the attachment part. The resonance plate is attached to a percussion instrument at the attachment part. The plural vibration pickups produce electric signals corresponding to the resonant vibrations at their respective positions on the resonance plate, and the electric signals are mixed and output as percussion-instrument-sound signals.

  • Patent number: 6845165
Abstract: A high pass filter 32 having a cut-off frequency of 200 Hz and a cut-off response of +12 dB/OCT and a low pass filter 33 having a cut-off frequency of 400 Hz and a cut-off response steeper than ?24 dB/OCT are used to pick out components in a double overtone region of 200˜400 Hz of a bass musical instrument such as a base or a bass drum from an input audio signal. The component which is picked out is input to distortion applying means 34 having an input-output response which is a non-linear response having no point symmetry with respect to 0 point, thus applying a distortion to cause even-numbered overtone components to be produced. An output from the distortion applying means 34 and the input audio signal are summed in a summer 18 to be delivered. Natural tones which have boosted bass tones and which are free from impurity are obtained.
