  • Publication number: 20050025262
Abstract: A controller controls weighting factors of received signals of combining units, such that impairment included in an output signal of the combining unit and impairment included in an output signal of the combining unit are mutually uncorrelated and that the combining units strongly receive different multipath signals which arrive at different propagation delay timing. Soft output decoders perform decoding by iterating soft output detection on the basis of the outputs of the combining units and results of mutual soft output detection, to enhance the reliability of likelihood information about the detected signal discrimination. After that, a hard output decoder performs hard output.
