    Abstract: A vibration-insulative support member includes an elastic body made mainly of rubber, and a pair of upper and lower flanges secured to upper and lower ends of said elastic body, respectively. The elastic body includes cords disposed in the rubber portion of the elastic body. The cords are arranged in layers substantially parallel to the upper and lower flanges in such a manner that the cords in each layer are distributed in a plan substantially parallel to the upper and lower flanges.
