  • Publication number: 20120081352
Abstract: Potential fluctuation of a common voltage is canceled, and greenish coloring of a screen displayed on a liquid crystal display panel is reduced to provide a high-quality image. A liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal display panel having plural pixels in which each of the pixels includes a pixel electrode and a counter electrode. The liquid crystal display device includes a detector circuit that detects a specific image pattern that induces a potential fluctuation of a common voltage applied to the counter electrode, and a VCOM generator circuit that generates the common voltage to be applied to the counter electrode. The VCOM generator circuit applies the common voltage in which an inverse compensation voltage that compensates the potential fluctuation is superimposed on a reference common voltage to the counter electrode on the basis of a detection result of the detector circuit.

  • Publication number: 20120007846
Abstract: Provided is a display device including a driver circuit for controlling supply of charges to an array of cells capable of storing the charges. In the driver circuit, a preceding electrically connecting part (SW221) controlled by a clock signal (CLK1) electrically connects an output signal line of a first circuit (211) having a positive polarity which is a potential higher than a reference potential and an output signal line of a second circuit (212) having a negative polarity which is a potential lower than the reference potential. After a predetermined time period has elapsed, a subsequent electrically connecting part (SW222) controlled by a clock signal (CLK2) electrically connects an output signal line of a third circuit (213) having the positive polarity and an output signal line of a fourth circuit (214) having the negative polarity.

  • Publication number: 20100177085
Abstract: In a driver circuit which controls the supply of charge to cells each of which can store a charge, the EMI (Electro Magnetic Interference) which occurs at the time of performing the charge sharing driving can be reduced. A preceding conduction means (SW13) which is controlled in response to a clock signal (CLK1) makes an output signal line corresponding to a first circuit which has positive polarity of a potential higher than a reference potential and an output signal line corresponding to a second circuit which has negative polarity of a potential lower than the reference potential electrically conductive with each other. After a lapse of a predetermined time, a succeeding conduction means (SW23) which is controlled in response to a clock signal (CLK2) makes an output signal line corresponding to a third circuit which has the positive polarity and an output signal line corresponding to a fourth circuit which has the negative polarity electrically conductive with each other.

  • Patent number: 7751013
Abstract: TFTs are formed on a substrate. An interlayer insulation film is formed on the substrate to cover the TFTs. Lower layer portions of SD lines formed of a multi-layered film which are formed on the interlayer insulation film constitute a lower electrode of an organic EL layer. An uppermost layer of the SD line is formed of a chemically stable metal oxide film, and the SD layer is used as it is. On the other hand, as a lower electrode of an organic EL layer, an upper layer of the SD line is removed and an Al—Si, alloy film of the SD line is used. Due to such a constitution, it is possible to reduce a cost by shortening steps while holding the performance and the reliability of organic EL.

  • Patent number: 7443369
Abstract: A liquid crystal display device which favorably displays an image by eliminating irregularities of the ? characteristic for every manufactured liquid crystal panel. In the liquid crystal display device, when a power source is supplied thereto, a display control circuit installed therein reads out gradation voltage data corresponding to the liquid crystal panel stored in a ROM connected to the display control circuit and sets gradation voltages in a gradation voltage setting circuit installed therein. Further, upon receiving external control signals, the display control circuit sets gradation voltages in the gradation voltage setting circuit. When the set gradation voltages are inputted to a source driver section of the liquid crystal display device, the liquid crystal panel is driven and images are displayed thereby.
