  • Publication number: 20010033281
Abstract: According to the 3D-CAD system of the present invention, basic graphic elements (PL, LL, SL, VL) are set based on linear, area or volume coordinate parameters, and the plurality of basic graphic elements are continuously connected to generate a basic graphic. The basic graphic elements constituting the generated basic graphic are continuously differentiable even after deformation, thereby generating a desired solid graphic (identical topology graphic). By using these patches for approximately expressing all surfaces, the surfaces are handled consistently, the data quantity describing the graphics is greatly reduced, and the load of operational processing of the computer is reduced. Whether or not an element can be deleted is determined based on a reference counter RC showing whether said element is the component of another element.

  • Patent number: 6218830
Abstract: Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for easily, sensitively and reliably detecting the presence of a magnetic substance in a non-magnetic product, and even a minuted magnetized material such as a broken needle erroneously included in a sewn product. Magnetic sensors as a sensing unit are disposed at a prescribed position between a pair of opposed magnetic shielding members made of a soft magnetic material as a magnetic flux converging unit. A non-magnetic product including a magnetic substance is passed through between the pair of magnetic shielding members. A magnetic flux generated by the magnetic substance mingled in the product is converged to the magnetic shielding members, while shutting off a magnetic field due to external disturbance, and residual magnetization of the magnetic substance is detected by the magnetic sensors.

  • Patent number: 6163921
Abstract: The wiper system with translational motion is additionally capable of moving the wiper arm in angular motion at an auto stop position so that the wiper blade may be stowed away from the view of the vehicle operator when the wiper system is not in use. The retracted position may be defined immediately below the lower edge of the windshield. When a mist switch is turned on so as to effect a quick wiping action, the wiper arm can angularly move from the retracted position to the upright position. When the wiper arm is already in the translational motion, turning on of the mist switch may increase the speed of the translational motion. To prevent the wiper blade from obstructing the view of the vehicle operator in an intermittent mode, the position of the temporary stop of the wiper blade may be selected at the reversing position which is remote from the vehicle operator.

  • Patent number: 6082636
Abstract: In a washer nozzle assembly, the upper lip portion defining a nozzle opening extends more forwardly than the lower lip portion so that the part of the washer liquid directed upward is blocked by the longer upper lip portion, and the upper part of the spray pattern includes more liquid droplets of larger sizes as compared to the prior art. Thus, the loss of washer liquid by being flown above the windshield at high speed can be reduced, and the spray pattern of the washer nozzle assembly can be optimized for all speeds.

  • Patent number: 5258886
Abstract: A thin film capacitor composed of a hybrid dielectric thin film that is sandwiched by a pair of electrodes. The hybrid dielectric thin film is obtained by complexing or accumulating first and second regions. The first region is derived from an ion plating source and the second region is derived from another ion plating source containing an auxiliary material to be coupled with the first region, both being obtained through an ion plating process. The use of the auxiliary material ensures a pinhole-free hybrid dielectric thin film.

  • Patent number: 5181888
Abstract: A belt driving system having at least one roller for adjusting creep within a plurality of rollers. Creep detecting means provided at one end of the creep adjusting roller is rotated by torque of a flat belt in contact with the creep detecting means. Biasing means for biasing the flat belt toward the creep detecting means and roller-end displacing means for converting the torque of the creep detecting means to displacement of the end of the creep adjusting roller toward a predetermined direction so that the flat belt is moved to the direction contrary to the creep caused by the biasing means are provided. When the flat belt creeps, the creep contrary to the original creep is caused by the roller-end displacing means, and thus the original creep is compensated. Consequently, stable running of the flat belt is obtained and clear pictures of the electrophotographic machine can be also obtained.

  • Patent number: 4811805
Abstract: A rear-wheel steering apparatus includes a steering unit for steering the front wheels in association with a rotation of the steering wheel, and a hydraulic actuator for steering the rear wheels. The actuator has first and second hydraulic chambers and a drive member connected to the rear wheels and operating in accordance with an oil pressure supplied to the hydraulic chambers. A directional control valve is provided between the steering unit and the actuator. The valve supplies oil pressure to the actuator in association with the operation of the steering unit. The valve includes a casing, and a valve body slidably arranged in the casing. First and second pressure chambers filled with oil pressure are defined in the casing. When the steering angle of the front wheels is smaller than a predetermined angle, the valve body moves to an in-phase position for supplying oil pressure to the actuator so that the rear wheels are steered in the same direction as the front wheels.

  • Patent number: 4795990
Abstract: In a bridge T type trap circuit having CR delta connection circuit and a variable LC tank circuit, the CR delta connection circuit is connected to the LC tank circuit via a variable inductor (19; 31, 33; 40). In one embodiment, a capacitor (18) is coupled with the variable inductor (19; 31, 33) to form another LC tank circuit. In another embodiment, a variable inductor (39) used in the first-mentioned LC tank circuit has a tap which is grounded. Impedance values of the first-mentioned LC tank circuit and the variable inductor (40) are adjusted so that absolute values of real and imaginary parts thereof have a given relationship. A resistor (22) of the CR delta connection circuit is used in common in a double-trap structure having two CR delta connection circuits and two series circuits each having two LC tank circuits.
