    Abstract: A picture processing apparatus for producing animations etc., which successively records still pictures formed to a computer by a video tape recorder, and enables animations to be produced with simple operation. After the picture data of a predetermined number of frames is stored to a picture data storing device, the operation is switched. The picture data which is stored in the picture data storing device, is converted into a video signal to be recorded to a magnetic tape, and by repeating these operations, animations are produced.
