  • Publication number: 20050088376
Abstract: Sustain electrodes (X1, X2, . . . ) of a PDP (20) are grounded. A PFC converter (40) converts an alternating voltage into a DC voltage (Vs) and applies it directly across a PDP driver (10). A sustaining pulse generating section (1) converts the DC voltage (Vs) into a primary voltage pulse (VF), and applies it across a primary winding (2a) of a transformer (2). The transformer (2) converts the primary voltage pulse (VF) into a sustaining voltage pulse (Vp), and applies it to scan electrodes (Y1, Y2, . . . ) of the PDP (20) through a reset/scanning pulse generating section (3). An inductor (L) is connected in parallel with a secondary winding (2b) of the transformer (2). The inductor (L) resonates with the panel capacitance of the PDP (20) at the rising and falling edges of the sustain voltage pulse (Vp).

  • Patent number: 6850031
Abstract: The present invention provides a motor controller capable of driving a synchronous motor having no position sensor stably at high efficiency by carrying out simple control. In order to attain this purpose, a reactive current is obtained from a motor current and a rotation phase, an error voltage is obtained from the reactive current and the command value of the reactive current, thereby obtaining a motor applied voltage command value Va that is used to compensate for the V/f characteristic of the motor. Furthermore, the motor applied voltage command value Va is applied to an output command computing section, and computed with the rotation phase signal of a wave generation section, thereby obtaining a signal for PWM driving the switching devices of an inverter circuit.

  • Patent number: 6778595
Abstract: An ADSL modem connected to the telephone line is disclosed, which even in the case where a plurality of ADSL modems are connected to a single telephone line installed in a SOHO application or in the home of an ordinary user, a stable high-speed data communication can be realized without superposing the signals between the ADSL models or without causing any impedance mismatch. An ADSL band signal detector (11) detects whether the ADSL frequency band is occupied by another ADSL modem connected to the telephone line or not. Upon detection that the ADSL frequency is so occupied, a control unit (12, 13) suppresses the application of the signal energy to the ADSL frequency band.

  • Patent number: 6760368
Abstract: The process in an xDSL transceiver transfers into a fast retraining sequence when the cause of an error on a telephone circuit is a change from an off hook state to an on hook state of a telephone instrument, a signal indicating an inversion of polarity of a signal on the telephone circuit, a change from an on hook to an off hook and when a handshake waiting time has passed without detecting a predetermined signal on the telephone circuit, or when the predetermined signal is detected within the handshake waiting time. The handshake waiting time can be updated in accordance with a dial pulse width, the maximum number of digits in the dial pulse signal, and the maximum number of pulses in one digit, or depending on whether or not the dial pulse comes from NTT.

  • Publication number: 20020150122
Abstract: A reception result of an analog signal transmitted from a local switch to a subscriber line, or a voltage difference corresponding to a line current is analyzed, and a transmission characteristic in the subscriber line is evaluated based on an analyzing result. The transmission characteristic is sent to a network by use of a function of an analog transmitting unit. Noises having power of a predetermined threshold value or more are detected from a data signal input to a digital transmitting unit, and a periodicity of the noises is examined, whereby influences of the cyclic noises are evaluated, and an examination result is sent to the network by use of the function of the analog transmitting unit. As a result, provided is an xDSL modem capable of automatically collecting various characteristics of the subscriber line connected thereto prior to a start of a provision of a broadband communication service.

  • Patent number: 5660056
Abstract: An air conditioner employs a non-azeotropic refrigerant mixture without deteriorating the heat-exchange efficiency and air-conditioning capability of an indoor heat exchanger of the air conditioner. The indoor heat exchanger (3) has a fin on which a first path (33), a second path (34), and a third path (35) for passing the refrigerant mixture are arranged. The first path passes the refrigerant mixture from the leeward side toward the windward side of an air flow produced by an indoor fan (7), to form a counterflow of the refrigerant mixture against the air flow. The second path passes the refrigerant mixture from the windward side toward the leeward side of the air flow. Although the second path forms a parallel flow of the refrigerant mixture with respect to the air flow, it achieves moderate heat-exchange efficiency because the number of rows of piping on the leeward side is greater than that on the windward side and because the rows of piping do not overlap one another with respect to the air flow.
