    Abstract: Connector terminals 13 connected to ends of respective electric wires 12 are inserted into an electric wire insertion section 11b formed in a housing body 11 of a waterproof connector 10. The connector terminals 13 are attached to respective terminal attachment sections 11a. The connector comprises a plug 14 which is molded on the outer peripheral surfaces of the electric wires 12 situated in the electric wire insertion section 11b and which is removably fitted into the electric wire insertion section 11b with a slight gap between the inner peripheral surface of the electric wire insertion section 11b and the plug 14; and a resiliently-deformable annular sealing body 15 which is retained in a retention groove formed along an outer peripheral surface of the plug 14 and which is brought into intimate contact with the inner peripheral surface of the electric wire insertion section 11b.

    Abstract: In a data processing apparatus, an image memory has a descriptor region and an image region, the image region storing a plurality of blocks of image data, the descriptor region storing a corresponding number of descriptor information blocks for the plurality of image data blocks. A DMA controller controls DMA data transfer of the image data blocks from the image region according to each descriptor information block in the descriptor region. The DMA controller comprises a register which stores one of the descriptor information blocks from the descriptor region of the image memory, and a control unit which determines, at a time of occurrence of a CPU interrupt, a start timing of a DMA data output operation of the DMA controller during a DMA data input operation of the DMA controller when an image editing request contained in input image data is received, the CPU interrupt being caused to occur by an interrupt request bit of the descriptor information block read from the register.

    Abstract: A hot melt ink which is applicable to an ink jet printing system where the hot melt ink is jetted out to a printing medium to form an image on the printing medium includes a binder which contains a hot melt composition; a coloring material which is dispersed in the binder; and a photo-curing composition. The binder as a dispersion medium is dispersed in the photo-curing composition in the form of grains and a surface of the hot melt ink is covered with the photo-curing composition when the hot melt ink is fixed on the printing medium. An ink jet printing apparatus includes a jetting device which jets the above hot melt ink melted by heat out to a printing medium to draw an image on the printing medium; and a light source for irradiating the hot melt ink on the printing medium which is jetted out from the jetting device to cure the photo-curing composition.

Moreover, in a book copying mode, when copying two facing-pages with a scanner, copies of the first of two facing-pages are printed while the second of the two facing pages is scanned. As a result, this apparatus and the corresponding method enable a document to be changed easily and prevent extended holding times by an operator when using book copy mode.

The image-receiving layer has a function to cover up the photosensitive microcapsules in the fresh photosensitive recording method and, upon release of the encapsulated materials from the photosensitive microcapsules, a function to absorb the encapsulated material to form an image. The photosensitive recording medium enables formation of full-color images on the photosensitive recording medium itself, and can achieve a low running cost and also be used even in small-sized image-forming apparatus.

    Abstract: A pallet exchange apparatus has a bed and an arm assembly supported on the bed to be rotatable between a workpiece loading-and-unloading station and workpiece machining station. A pair of cylindrical holes are formed at both ends of the arm assembly for receiving the pallets. The apparatus is further provided with driving means for rotating the arm assembly, a turntable rotatably mounted on the bed at a position corresponding to the workpiece machining station, first engagement portions formed at the ends of the arm assembly, second engagement portions formed on the pallets so as to be engaged with the first engagement portions for preventing the rotation of the pallets, and a moving device disposed on the turntable for moving the pallet located at the workpiece machining station in the vertical direction. When the pallet is lowered by the moving device, the pallet is separated from the turntable and the second engagement portion of the pallet is engaged with the first engagement portion.
