  • Publication number: 20110175497
Abstract: The motor comprises a stator, a rotor, and magnets. The stator has a plurality of magnetic poles circumferentially arranged at first spaced intervals. The rotor is rotatably arranged in a position opposing to the stator. The magnets are arranged at second spaced intervals circumferentially on a surface of the rotor. The stator is formed by laminating plate materials, and a plurality of laminated plate materials at least including outermost layers of a laminated body thereof are bent in a direction substantially parallel to the magnet in order to form extended portions. And, when a magnet opposed area of pole tip portion being closest to a magnet including the extended portion is S, and a sectional area of magnetic pole is A, then area ratio (S/A) fulfills the relation of 4.8>(S/A).

  • Publication number: 20110046352
Abstract: The present invention provides transgenic, disease-resistant plants which have been transformed with an expression cassette including a constitutive gene expression promoter; and a gene, under the control of the promoter, encoding a harpin. The transformed cells in the transgenic plant effect the constitutive expression of the harpin in an amount effective for inducing a defense reaction. The harpin is a protein consisting of an amino acid sequence that is at least 90% homologous to the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 2, and possesses a hypersensitive-response-inducing activity. The present invention also provides methods for producing the transgenic plants, expression cassettes, recombinant vectors and genes encoding harpins.

  • Publication number: 20110006620
Abstract: A stator 3 is provided with a plurality of magnetic poles 3a on the outer circumference thereof, and is configured from a plurality of layers of plate-shaped members. A rotor 4 is rotatably disposed around the stator. The inner circumferential face of the rotor is provided with a magnet 5. The outer circumferential ends of the magnetic poles of the stator are provided with an extended portion that is bent such that at least one plate-shaped member, including an outermost layer, of the plurality of plate-shaped members is substantially parallel to the magnet. When the inner diameter of a bent portion of a plate-shaped member that is the closest to the magnet of the at least one plate-shaped member constituting the extended portion is taken as R1i, and the thickness of the closest plate-shaped member is taken as T1, R1i<T1 is satisfied. Accordingly, it is possible to improve the driving efficiency of an outer rotor-type motor.

  • Patent number: 7257343
Abstract: An additional image is formed on a recording medium by filling a predetermined area including a punched portion or a stapled portion, in addition to an image which is to be formed originally, such as a text document. The additional image is formed with white developer or transparent developer. Since the thickness of the recording medium is increased by the white developer or transparent developer forming the additional image portion, the region around the punched portion or the stapled portion is reinforced and the recording medium is kept from being broken easily. When the image and the additional image are superposed, the superposition of the image and the additional image is avoided by either reducing the image or changing the position of the image to be formed.

  • Patent number: 7232673
Abstract: The object of the present invention is to screen and identify a novel antimicrobial protein which can inhibit the growth of plant pathogenic microorganisms at a relatively low concentration such as Pyricularia oryzae and Rhizoctonia solani causative of two major diseases causing damage to rice crops and, further, to clone the gene of this protein. According to the present invention, an antimicrobial protein which can be obtained from a fraction of an aqueous extract of Lyophyllum shimeji precipitated by the ammonium sulfate precipitation method, has an antimicrobial activity at least against Rhizoctonia solani or Pyricularia oryzae, and shows the presence of components of about 70 kDa and/or about 65 kDa in molecular weight in the SDS-PAGE method. A gene encoding this protein and a method of using the same are provided.
