  • Publication number: 20140056658
Abstract: A cutting head having a tapered shaft portion, a helical flute, and a flat shoulder surface is fastened to a shank having a front end surface, a tapered hole, and a helical flute through a fastening attachment in the form of a helical coil. The fastening attachment has a sectional shape substantially analogous in shape to a space defined between the helical flutes. The fastening attachment is fitted in one of the helical flutes, and is threaded into the other of the helical flutes until the shoulder surface is brought into close contact with the front end surface of the shank, and the outer peripheral surface of the tapered shaft portion is brought into close contact with the inner surface of the tapered hole, thus fastening the cutting head to the shank.

  • Patent number: 7818113
Abstract: A valve timing control apparatus for a valve timing adjustment mechanism that adjusts timing of opening and closing an intake or exhaust valve of an engine includes an output-side rotor, a cam-side rotor, a hydraulic pump, a control device, a control valve, a storage device. The control device outputs a signal associated with rotation of one of the rotors relative to the other one. The control valve controls the speed of the rotation. The storage device prestores standard data indicating a predetermined relation between a dead zone width and a parameter correlated with the dead zone width for each hydraulic oil temperature. A value of the parameter of the adjustment mechanism during a hold state is learned by changing the signal. The control device computes the signal based on the value learned, the standard data, and hydraulic oil temperature.

  • Patent number: 6922394
Abstract: A communication apparatus which effectively optimizes the route for each call connection without causing any adverse effect on other existing sessions and thus contributes to better quality and reliability of telecommunications services. A source-side routing data manager collects information necessary for path calculation, evaluates every possible path with the collected information, and manages routing data that is obtained through the path evaluation. A source-side best path finder selects a best path from among those listed in the routing data. A connection releasing unit releases a particular connection when the source-side best path finder has found a new best path that is more suitable for that particular connection than the current path, while maintaining the connectivity of other existing calls. A new best path setting unit performs a call connection procedure by using the newly selected best path, after the connection releasing unit has released the current connection.

  • Publication number: 20040071080
Abstract: In a label switching router and a path switchover method thereof when a path fault occurs, a relay label switching router registers a hop destination indicated in a received message in a path hop list, forwards the message to a next hop destination without deleting the hop destination, and notifies an identifier of a path in which a fault has recovered to an ingress label switching router based on the path hop list, an egress label switching router registers the hop destination indicated in the received message in a path hop list, and notifies an identifier of a path in which a fault has recovered to the ingress label switching router based on the path hop list, and the ingress label switching router regards, when detecting a recovery of a path higher in priority than an active path or when receiving a recovery notification, the recovered path as an active path.

  • Patent number: 5680396
Abstract: The invention provides a communication method for realizing communications between different apparatus in a PVC connection type switched network, which is improved in that PVCs in the inside of the switched network can be set efficiently using preset PVCs dynamically to allow high speed communications without complicating the communication protocol. The communication method is applied to a PVC connection type switched network wherein a plurality of transmission apparatus and at least one reception apparatus are connected to each other by PVC connections by way of an exchange switch which handles fixed length cells. According to the communication method, one or more of the transmission apparatus which have acquired an access right to a PVC to be used performs transmission to the reception apparatus using respective transmission line bandwidths.

  • Patent number: 5315588
Abstract: A method of controlling a frame-relay module includes steps of outputting a control-information frame from a control unit connected to an ATM switch, the control-information frame containing data specifying a frame-relay interface circuit as well as a processing command, assembling the control-information frame into an ATM cell and sending the ATM cell, via the ATM switch, to a frame-relay module in which the specified frame-relay interface circuit is present, restoring the ATM cell to a control-information frame by an ATM interface circuit and a cell assembly/disassembly circuit contained in the frame-relay module, causing the specified frame-relay interface circuit to accept the control-information frame, and executing processing, which conforms to the command contained in the control-information frame, in the frame-relay interface circuit.
