  • Patent number: 8511261
Abstract: Disclosed is a piston cooling device wherein the cooling efficiency of a piston is improved by oil injected from an oil jet and supplied to a cooling passage provided in the piston, and the amount of cooling oil is reduced when an internal combustion engine is operated at maximum output. The piston cooling device is provided with a piston for an internal combustion engine, in which a circumferential passage and a cooling passage having an inlet passage and an outlet passage are provided, and an oil jet for injecting oil from an injection port to the inlet passage. The oil jet injects oil at every stroke of the piston so that a two-phase plug flow composed of gas and oil is formed in the cooling passage at least when an internal combustion engine is operated at maximum output.

  • Publication number: 20120245554
Abstract: Infusion systems according to the present invention provide a medical fluid infusion system operable at a relatively wide range of flow rates while simultaneously maintaining a high degree of accuracy and predictability through employing specific flow path architecture, flow path dimensional ranges, and pump control parameters, such as voltage, frequency, voltage rise time, pump size and quantity, and controlled restriction of the fluid flow path. Automatic recognition of restrictive elements is employed to facilitate the ease of use of different restrictive elements with a single infusion system and improve patient safety.

  • Publication number: 20120116348
Abstract: In a liquid medicine injecting system, an open route is formed in which a liquid medicine flows from a container that contains the liquid medicine to a blood vessel of a biological body via a micro-pump, a flow volume sensor, and a tube. A back pressure from the biological body directly operates against the micro-pump via the open route. When the flow volume of the liquid medicine is constant, power of the micro-pump has a constant relationship with the back pressure. The flow volume of the liquid medicine is adjusted to be a target volume by controlling the power of the micro-pump, and the power of the micro-motor is monitored. An abnormal injecting state of the liquid medicine caused by such as pulling out of an injection needle from the biological body is immediately detected with high accuracy based on the monitored result of the power of the micro-pump.

  • Publication number: 20020138364
Abstract: Added values that are suited for use in electronic information media are attached to products. A first identification code ID(A) is attached to a confection x shipped by a confection maker X and a second identification code ID(B) is attached to a toy y shipped by a toy makery. A user who has purchased the products accesses a server device via the Internet from a personal computer or other terminal device and inputs the identification code that was attached to the purchased product. Upon verifying whether or not the identification code that the user has input is correct, the server device carries out the service of providing a game, providing a quiz, providing fortune-telling information, etc. to the terminal device via the Internet. By making the service, which is provided when both ID(A) and ID(B) are input, higher in content and quality in comparison to the service, which is provided when just one of either ID(A) or ID(B) is input, the sales of confection x and toy y are promoted.
