    Abstract: The invention is intended to provide a method for quenching a steel pipe, equipment for quenching a steel pipe, and a method of manufacturing a steel pipe that enable a steel pipe to be conveyed at high speed. The method for quenching a steel pipe includes the steps of: conveying a steel pipe onto a rotatable supporting member using a walking-arm type revolving conveyance apparatus; and rapidly cooling the steel pipe with first spray nozzles disposed above the pipe while the steel pipe is being rotated about a pipe axis of the steel pipe on the rotatable supporting member in a state where movements of the steel pipe in a direction parallel to and in a direction perpendicular to the pipe axis are stopped.

    Abstract: Since a solenoid device generates the maximum drawing force at the final position of the retracting stroke of a plunger when it retracts into the solenoid device, the drawing force becomes so large at a position close to a pressing end position of a pressing member that energy is consumed than necessity, and the solenoid device is made large-sized. Accordingly, an arch clamp foot lifting apparatus of the present invention solved this problem by connecting a wedge-shaped block member to a plunger of the solenoid device and retaining an upper portion of the pressing member on a cam surface of a block member through a driven portion.

    Abstract: A towel cloth positioning device comprises a plurality of projectors provided above a work table for projecting indication marks on the hemming portion of a sheet of towel cloth which is cut piece by piece and is placed on the work table so as to indicate given positions on the hemming portion thereof and pressing units for pressing the towel cloth at the hemming portion thereof on the work table by way of pressing members capable of individually pressing the hemming portion of the towel cloth. Inasmuch as the edge of the hemming portion of the towel cloth can be accurately cut at the edge thereof, it is possible to effectively produce a high quality towel. Moreover, inasmuch as the positioning according to the positioning patterns is performed a plurality of times, it is possible to place various kinds of towel cloths along a line indicated by the positioning patterns with ease and accuracy.
