  • Patent number: 4848356
Abstract: An ultrasonic Doppler blood flowmeter measures the velocity of blood flow at an arbitrary position of the body of a subject by making use of Doppler shift of an ultrasonic echo signal. The echo signal including Doppler shift from the blood flow of the body is detected in phase on the basis of standard reference signal, and the distance to an intended position is extracted from the phase detected signal and is integrated, and the direct-current component or ultraflow frequency component of the Doppler shift signal obtained from the integrator means is fed back negatively to the integrator means. As a result, the echo signal components of the body tissues are removed, and the frequency of blood flow only can be analyzed, so that an accurate blood flow information may be obtained.

  • Patent number: 4843523
Abstract: A headlight device including a movable member connected to a stationary supporting member at spaced apart three points, at two of said three points said movable member being connected respectively to the stationary supporting member through aiming mechanisms which enable to change the space between the supporting member and the movable member respectively. At least one of the aiming mechanism comprises an adjusting rod and a gear unit, and the gear unit includes a casing mounted on the supporting member, a worm gear, a worm wheel meshing with the worm gear, a pinion gear co-axial with the worm gear, a driving gear meshing with the pinion gear, with the axis of the driving gear being arranged orthogonal to the axis of the worm wheel, and an actuating rod connected to the driving gear and extending through the casing.

  • Patent number: 4779622
Abstract: An ultrasonic wave diagnostic apparatus having an array of electro-acoustic transducer elements and respective channels for supplying drive signals to the electro-acoustic transducer elements and amplifying received echo signals from these elements, with the respective overall gains of the channels being controlled by corresponding values of weighting data. A set of mutually independent D/A converters, smaller in number than the number of electro-acoustic transducer elements, produce weighting data for respective ones of the channels that are spaced apart by a fixed number of channels. Respective interpolated values of weighting data for the remaining channels are derived by analog operations executed upon each of successive pairs of D/A converter outputs.

  • Patent number: 4751929
Abstract: A ultrasonic bloodstream diagnostic apparatus wherein the frequencies of Doppler shift ultrasound information are analyzed by a frequency analyzer to derive a power spectrum represented by N-bit data. The N-bit data comprises (K+M+L) bits, where K represents the number of binary 0's in the highest order bit positions and varies in the range between zero and N-M, M represents a fixed number of significant bits immediately following the binary 0's and L represents the number of insignificant bits in the lowest order bit positions immediately following the M significant bits, where K+L equals N-M. A data compression technique is employed to conver the N-bit data to (m+l)-bit data by a data conversion circuit, with the m bits respectively identical to the M bits and l bits being a binary representation of the number of the L bits. A microprocessor derives a signal representing the average frequency of the power spectrum from the (m+l)-bit output data signal.

  • Patent number: 4593700
Abstract: An ultrasonic wave blood flow meter comprises a probe which sends to and receives an ultrasonic wave reflected with Doppler effect from the blood flow, a detecting circuit for converting a frequency variation of the received reflected wave into a first signal whose amplitude varies with frequency and a second signal whose amplitude is kept constant, and first and second effective-value detecting circuits for obtaining d.c. components of the first and second signals. A level discrimination circuit is further provided for discriminating the level of the d.c. component detected by the second effective-value detecting circuit. First and second sensitivity-variable amplifiers are also provided for varying their sensitivities in accordance with the result of the level discrimination circuit. A dividing circuit divides the d.c. component amplified by the first sensitivity-variable amplifier by the d.c.
