  • Patent number: 7493529
Abstract: Exemplary embodiments provide an image display device capable of preventing an error image displayed on the screen from interfering with the user watching TV broadcasting when the power supply is cut or a print error occurs during printing of image data, and an error handling method. A screen shows a state where a print error occurs while the user is watching TV broadcasting by returning the screen to a TV screen after printing of an image. A simple error image, indicating a print error can be displayed on the screen and the user can select whether a simple error image is to be turned off or an error detail information image is to be displayed. When the user wishes to defer the handling of the print error, he can turn off the simple error image by selecting an “Exit” key on the remote controller.

  • Publication number: 20090019210
Abstract: The service life of memory cards is to be substantially elongated against the occurrence of faulty blocks. A control logic searches blocks in a nonvolatile memory cell array for any acquired fault on the basis of a fault-inviting code in a management information section. If any faulty block is detected, the faulty block will be subjected to write/read comparison of data to judge whether or not the data in the block are normal. Any block determined to be normal will undergo rewriting of its fault-inviting code and registered as a normal block. Further, the registered block is stored into a write management table in the management area as a writable block. This enables an essentially normal block judged faulty on account of an erratic error or some other reason to be restored.

  • Publication number: 20080229164
Abstract: A memory card includes a non-volatile memory, a memory controller for controlling the operation of the memory card. The memory controller is capable of providing an interface with outside according to a predetermined protocol, and performs error detection and correction of the memory information at regular time intervals or at the timing of connection of electric power supply, independently of reading out the memory information according to external access request. Therefore, it is possible to improve reliability of data retention in the non-volatile memory without the host device reading out the memory information from the non-volatile memory of the memory card.

  • Patent number: 7370168
Abstract: The invention intends to provide a memory card conforming to an HS-MMC mode in a standard of a multimedia card, while securing compatibility of both standards of the multimedia card and an SD card. In a normal MMC mode, the data is outputted at a fall edge of a clock signal. A frequency of the clock signal is about 20 MHz. When the data is outputted at the fall edge of the clock signal, data output is in time for a next clock signal. When a parameter ‘1’ is set to a timing register provided in a host interface, the memory card is transitioned into the HS-MMC mode. In the HS-MMC mode, a clock signal frequency is increased to about 52 MHz. Here, the data is outputted at the rise edge of the clock signal, whereby the data output is brought in time for the rise edge of the next clock signal.

  • Patent number: 7330995
Abstract: The present invention is directed to suppress data loss caused by power shut-down during a rewriting process and to shorten time required to make a depletion check. A nonvolatile memory apparatus includes a rewritable nonvolatile memory and a card controller. The nonvolatile memory has a physical address area corresponding to a logical address and a save area. In response to a data rewrite instruction on a required logical address, the card controller stores data in a predetermined physical address area corresponding to the logical address to the save area and rewrites the data stored in the physical address area. When rewriting of the physical address area is incomplete, the card controller rewrites the data in the physical address area with the data stored in the save area. Thus, data loss caused by the power shut-down can be suppressed by data backup, and it is sufficient to make the depletion check in two places of the save area and the physical address area.

  • Patent number: 7322256
Abstract: A first ball circulating hole and a second ball circulating hole for connecting a circulator are bored midway at a screw groove formed on an inner circumference of a ball nut, an intermediate groove path between the first and second ball circulating holes becomes the range of a ball screw track for circulating balls, and other ranges become a first outer track and a second outer track which are not the ball screw track. By making the groove depth of the intermediate groove path deeper than the groove depth of a first groove path of the first outer track and the groove depth of a second groove path of the second outer track, steps are formed between the ball screw track and the two outer tracks. These steps prevent an outflow of the balls from the intermediate groove path to the respective groove paths of the outer tracks.

  • Publication number: 20070266791
Abstract: A technology for providing a small and inexpensive ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus which does not need a high resolution A/D converter, and has high sensitivity and a wide dynamic range is disclosed. According to the technology, an ultrasonic transducer unit 1 for transmitting and receiving ultrasonic wave is driven by a drive circuit 2 for generating a pulse signal. An echo signal received by the ultrasonic transducer unit is inputted to an analog low frequency band attenuator 3 which attenuates a low frequency band component. An output signal of the analog low frequency band attenuator is inputted to an A/D converter 4 which converts the signal to a digital signal. The converted and outputted digital signal is inputted to a digital correction filter 5 which intensifies the low frequency band component attenuated by the analog low frequency band attenuator and outputs a digital signal having a frequency distribution almost equal to that of the echo signal received by the ultrasonic transducer unit.

  • Publication number: 20070263731
Abstract: The present invention provides a moving picture re-encoding apparatus, which can generate correct reproducible encoded data by a light-load simple process when encoded moving picture data are converted or edited. It is provided with: a decoding means 12 that decodes frames of a moving picture from an encoded bit stream; a frame selecting means 15 that selects a frame to be re-encoded from the decoded frames; an encoding means 14 that re-encodes only the selected frame; and an interval notifying means 13 that calculates a frame interval, after the re-encoding of a frame, between the frame and a next frame to be re-encoded to notify the decoding means of the calculated frame interval. The decoding means 12 decodes the bit stream for time based on the notified frame interval after the notification from the interval notifying means 13. The frame selecting means 15 selects the last frame as the next frame to be re-encoded among the frames until the time passes.

  • Publication number: 20070174573
Abstract: To prevent stored information from being changed even at the occurrence of an abnormal condition in an upstream side of a system due to uncontrollable run of an OS. A nonvolatile storage means having data storage areas and management areas for them in units of predetermined physical addresses has an access protect definition table TLB in a predetermined physical address, and the table has access attribute information defining whether to permit or not access to the data storage areas in association with the physical addresses. The memory system itself possesses access attribute information defining whether to permit or not a write to and a read from the data storage areas in association with addresses to implement an access protect function for write and read. Therefore, the access protect function is maintained even if an abnormal condition occurs in a host device that manages the memory system or controls it as a peripheral circuit.
