Abstract: A method includes generating virtual space data defining a virtual space including a self-avatar, a first object capable of exerting a predetermined effect on the self-avatar, and a second object. The method includes identifying a visual field based on a detected movement of a head-mounted display. The method includes generating a visual-field image for display on the head-mount display. The method includes identifying a relative positional relationship between the first object and the self-avatar in response to a determination that the self-avatar is likely to receive the predetermined effect from the first object. The method includes setting a position of the second object based on the identified relative positional relationship. The method includes outputting predetermined sound data based on the set position of the second object. The method includes outputting a sound corresponding to the predetermined sound data from a sound outputting unit.

  • Publication number: 20110042591
Abstract: A first bar code that is reproduced by linearly polarized red light (first read light) parallel to a short-side direction and a second bar code that is reproduced by linearly polarized green light (second read light) parallel to a long-side direction are recorded on a birefringence label. A probe is a reading device that reads the first and second bar codes from the birefringence label and includes first and second light sources and an imaging unit. The first light source emits the first read light to the birefringence label. The second light source emits the second read light to the birefringence label at a time different from that of the first read light. The imaging unit captures the birefringence label through a polarizing plate having a transmission axis aligned with the short-side direction of the birefringence label, and acquires reproduced images of the first and second bar codes.

  • Patent number: 7607565
Abstract: An interior of the package box is partitioned by an intermediate partition plate into a first accommodation portion and a second accommodation portion. A small partition plate is folded into the package box to form a third accommodation portion. An instruction manual and a device body are accommodated in the first accommodation portion and the second accommodation portion, and a small article and the like are accommodated in the third accommodation portion. The small partition plate is prevented from unfolding open by an edge side of the first connection piece. Therefore, the small article and the like accommodated in the third accommodation portion do not move into the first accommodation portion. The third accommodation portion can be formed by a simple operation (inserting operation is unnecessary) only by folding the small partition plate into the package box.

  • Publication number: 20060164724
Abstract: A telescopic system with a display in a visual field is provided. In the telescopic system, a microcomputer is mounted on the circuit board of a display device and is configured so that the short-time pressing of an ENT key is detected. When the short-time pressing of the ENT key is detected, the orientation data on a liquid crystal display unit is set into a fixed display state in which the orientation data is fixed to the orientation data obtained at the time. At the same time, the display state of the liquid crystal display unit is switched to a blinking state or a state in which the color of the backlight unit is switched to a lighting color different from the lighting color in a real-time display state in which the orientation data being changed is displayed directly, by the microcomputer via a lighting drive circuit, whereby the distinction between the fixed display and the real-time display can be performed easily.
