  • Publication number: 20060167091
Abstract: The present invention provides a miticide that brings about a significantly remarkable mite controlling effect over a long period of time. The miticide of the present invention contains (a) an acylacetonitrile compound represented by Formula (1): wherein R1 is —C(O)ZR2; R2 is a C1-6 alkyl, C1-4 haloalkyl, C2-4 alkenyl, C2-4 alkynyl, (C1-6 alkoxy)C1-4 alkyl, (C1-4 alkylthio)C1-4 alkyl, or benzyl group; Z is an oxygen or sulfur atom; X and Y independently represent a halogen atom or a C1-6 alkyl or C1-4 haloalkyl group; m and n independently represent an integer from 1 to 3; and each m X's and each n Y's may be the same or different, and (b) chlorfenapyr.

  • Patent number: 6899886
Abstract: The acylacetonitrile compound of the invention is represented by the formula (1): wherein R1 represents —C(O)ZR2; R2 represents C1-6 alkyl, C1-4 haloalkyl or the like; Z represents oxygen or sulfur; X and Y independently represent halogen, C1-6 alkyl or C1-4 haloalkyl; and m and n are independently an integer of 1 to 3. The acylacetonitrile compound of the invention exhibits excellent miticidal and ovicidal activities for mites over a long period. Therefore, the acylacetonitrile compound of the invention is useful as a miticide.
