  • Publication number: 20040119836
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for correction of a deviation of an imaging sensor of a digital camera in which an image of an object or a scene is formed on an image plane of the imaging sensor to output an image signal, are disclosed. A quantity of rotation of the digital camera causing a deviation of the imaging sensor from a reference position to occur, is detected. A change of a positional angle of the imaging sensor is calculated based on the detected rotation quantity. A target vector is calculated based on the calculated positional angle change, the target vector describing a magnitude and a direction of an inverse movement of the imaging sensor needed to reach the reference position and cancel the deviation. Movement of the imaging sensor is controlled based on the calculated target vector, so that the imaging sensor is moved back to the reference position thus correcting the deviation.

  • Patent number: 6747713
Abstract: In a portable data terminal or information processing equipment, a liquid crystal module as a display unit is built-in a cover. Projected portions are disposed at upper and lower edges of the liquid crystal module to be projected in the direction parallel to its display face. Trough-holes are formed in these projected portions in the manner that the holes extend through the portions in the thickness direction of the liquid crystal module. Screw members are inserted into the through-holes from the side of the display face, and tightened to a bottom plate, to connect the bottom plate and an outside frame. This makes it possible to make the cover on which the liquid crystal module is mounted compact.

  • Publication number: 20040101301
Abstract: Incident signal beam pulses are transmitted by an on-state region, and an optical path for the signal beam pulses is spatially switched in an optical switch. Signal beam pulses transmitted by the on-state region of the optical switch are detected at a pixel corresponding to a transmitting region of a photo-detector equipped with a plurality of pixels. A timing computation unit acquires position information of a pixel at which a predetermined signal beam pulse has been detected, on the basis of a result of the detection conducted by the photo-detector, and computes timing of arrival of a predetermined signal beam pulse at the optical switch on the basis of the position information of the pixel and time when a region corresponding to the pixel is brought to an on-state.

  • Patent number: 6734927
Abstract: In a liquid crystal display, a liquid crystal display panel is held between an upper frame and a lower frame, the upper frame having a display window. The upper frame and the lower frame are integrally molded to be coupled to each other via a U-shaped portion. Here, the upper frame and the lower frame are made by vacuum forming resin material. Thus, the liquid crystal display can be reduced in profile, size, weight, and cost.
