Abstract: In a connector 57, its mounting plate 51 comprises a base 27, a press-in portion 53 extending forwardly from the central portion of the base 27 and having a locking hole 52 formed therethrough, and a pair of arms 28 extending forwardly from opposite end portions of the base 27 and then bent downward and having tapped holed 29 formed through the bent portions. The mounting plate 51 is assembled to the connector body 11 by press-inserting thereinto the press-in portion 53 from behind the body 11 and firmly gripping tip end portions 28a of the arms between the connector body 11 and a base 23.

Abstract: In an integrally molded capped type connector, the insulating body of the connector has a contact hole extending therethrough from the rear end face to the front end face thereof and an inlet aperture leading to the contact hole from the front end face. The contact hole comprises a slot and a pin contact receiving bore extending along a common longitudinal axis and having cross-sectional areas superposed on each other. The forward end of the slot extends across the inlet aperture perpendicularly to the width thereof and beyond the opposite sides of the slot to define protective walls between the opposite widthwise end portions of the slot at its forward end and the front end face of the body. The base of the socket contact is formed on its opposite side surfaces with lugs adapted to fill up the pin contact receiving bore.

Abstract: A conductive pin (22) is planted on the inside of the rear end wall (40) of a jack body (21) in alignment with the center axis of its plug insertion hole (27), and three movable contacts (23, 24, 25) formed in one piece of a leaf spring material are disposed around the conductive pin (22) in the body (21). The movable contacts resiliently engage the peripheral surface (73) of a power plug (72) inserted into the plug insertion hole (27), implementing a three-point contact therebetween.
