Abstract: The object of this invention is to provide a polarizing ophthalmic lens excellent in impact resistance and free of separation, soiling, etc., even when it contains an ultraviolet absorbent. This invention is a polarizing ophthalmic lens obtained by inserting a functional film formed of a polarizing film and polycarbonate films which have a retardation value of 3,000 nm or more each and are attached to both surfaces of the polarizing film into a mold beforehand, and injecting a resin composition to carry out molding, said resin composition containing 100 parts by weight of an aromatic polycarbonate resin having a viscosity average molecular weight of 17,000 to 26,000 and 0.1 to 0.5 part by weight of an ultraviolet absorbent having a molecular weight of 300 or more, the content of low-molecular-weight components having a molecular weight of 1,000 or less being 1% by weight or less.
