  • Publication number: 20180022357
Abstract: A safety level indication arrangement for a motor vehicle includes a first camera capturing first images of an environment surrounding the motor vehicle. A second camera captures second images of a driver of the motor vehicle. A microphone is associated with the passenger compartment and produces a microphone signal dependent upon sounds within the passenger compartment. At least one vehicle sensor detects an operational parameter of the motor vehicle. A display device is associated with the passenger compartment. A loudspeaker is associated with the passenger compartment. An electronic processor ascertains a safety level based on the first images and the operational parameter of the motor vehicle. The electronic processor determines how to present the ascertained safety level to the driver by use of the display device and/or the loudspeaker. The determining is dependent upon the second images and the microphone signal.

  • Publication number: 20170208430
Abstract: A method of pairing a smartphone to a head unit in a motor vehicle includes determining whether the smartphone is in motion by use of an accelerometer within the smartphone. A first signal is transmitted from the head unit to the smartphone. A first RSSI is received from the head unit. The first RSSI is indicative of a strength of the first signal. A second signal is transmitted from the head unit to the smartphone. A second RSSI is received from the head unit. The second RSSI is indicative of a strength of the second signal. Pairing between the smartphone and the head unit is initiated only if it was determined that the smartphone is in motion, the second RSSI is greater than the first RSSI, and the second RSSI is greater than a threshold value.

  • Publication number: 20120137302
Abstract: In an information processing device 1 for running a multitask application, an priority information generating unit 104 generates priority information, in accordance with source information and processing performance with respect to each task (i.e. a time required for processing the task and a frame rate at which the task is processed) to be run in the information processing device 1. The source information indicates frequencies of event occurrence as the measure of likelihood that, when an input has been received in an input unit 12 of a content task currently running, another input following the input is to be received. The generated priority information indicates timings for changing the priorities upon reception by the input unit 12 and indicates priorities to be set at the timings. In accordance with the generated priority information, the priority control device 10 performs control of changing the priorities of the content tasks.

  • Publication number: 20100085275
Abstract: Provided is a device selection control apparatus for selecting a specific target device for control from among a plurality of candidate devices. A device center position detection section (14) detects position information of the candidate devices detected by the device detection section (12), and sets an allowable shake threshold value of the candidate device based on the initially detected position information. A determination section (16) acquires a shake amount of the candidate device by using the latest position information received from the device center position detection section (14), and the initially detected position information, and determines to switch to zoom processing on the picture information when the shake amount exceeds an allowable shake threshold value. A picture processing section (18) performs the zoom processing on the picture information when the determination section (16) determines to switch to the zoom processing.
