Abstract: A image processing apparatus includes an image data memory for storing digital image data obtained by photoelectrically detecting light with a CCD to produce analog image data and digitizing the analog pixel data, a window memory for two-dimensionally mapping and storing the digital image data stored in the image data memory, and an abnormal pixel determining section for specifying each pixel in the digital image data stored in the window memory as a subject pixel, reading the density signal level of the subject pixel together with the density signal levels of pixels adjacent to the subject pixel, comparing the density signal level of the subject pixel with the density signal levels of pixels adjacent to the subject pixel and defining the subject pixel as an abnormal pixel when difference between the density signal level of the subject pixel and the density signal levels of pixels adjacent to the subject pixel is greater than a predetermined level.

Abstract: An image analyzing apparatus includes an image data memory for storing image data, a display for displaying an image based on image data selected from the image data stored in the image data memory and processed in a predetermined manner, a graphic data memory for storing graphic data corresponding to a plurality of patterns to be displayed on the display, a quantitative processing section for quantitatively processing image data corresponding to the images contained in regions of interest defined by the patterns, a quantitative data memory for storing quantitative data produced by the quantitative processing section, and a background management section for producing and storing background data relating to background values corresponding to noise components for each of the patterns. According to the thus constituted image analyzing apparatus, it is possible to accurately and smoothly quantitatively process and analyze an image contained in a region of interest defined by a pattern.

Abstract: Various types of templates are stored in a template storage section in accordance with various types of array chips varying in disposition of spot positions. In making an analysis in an analysis section, a template, on which ROIs are disposed at positions corresponding to the spot positions on the array chip used, is read out from the template storage section. This template is set onto images represented by labeled data, and a signal value at a position corresponding to the ROI on the template is detected and evaluated.

Abstract: An image processing system is provided with an input controller, a file server, an image setter and a work station each having respectively an independent CPU, e.g., a microprocessor, a microcomputer or the like, which allows each unit to operate independently in an parallel manner so as to carry out image processing efficiently at a high speed, while a hard copy or a block copy for printing with a high quality image being fit into a frame on a layout pasteboard by means of an image output apparatus can be obtained by interactive-editing information on the layout pasteboard as well as designs and characters, to minimize the capacity of the memory.
