  • Publication number: 20200269407
Abstract: A power tool, such as an impact driver, includes a motor having a rotor that rotates relative to a stator, and a centrifugal fan that rotates together with the rotor. A motor housing and a rear housing house the motor. Overlapping parts of the motor housing and the rear housing radially surround an outer circumference of the centrifugal fan. Air exhaust ports are defined in each of the overlapping parts and are offset in an axial direction of the rotor. Fluid communication paths are defined between the air exhaust ports in the overlapping parts. The fluid communication paths have an opening area or width in the axial direction that is smaller than an opening area or width in the axial direction of the air exhaust ports.

  • Publication number: 20200047319
Abstract: A power tool includes a tool-main-body part, an electric motor as a drive source, a grip part, which extends downward from the tool-main-body part and is configured to be gripped by a user, and a power-supply unit at a tip of the grip part. The power tool includes a controller configured to control the operation of the electric motor, the controller being located on the power-supply unit, and a display controlled by the controller and configured to indicate an operating state of the electric motor. The controller and the display each have a flat-plate shape and are disposed along a surface direction with respect to one another, and the display includes a first portion that overlies the controller and a second portion that projects beyond an end edge of the controller.

  • Publication number: 20190160636
Abstract: An impact tool includes a motor, a first hammer, an anvil, and a second hammer. The first hammer is configured to be rotated by driving of the motor. The anvil is configured to be hammered in a rotation direction by the first hammer. The second hammer is configured to be switchable between a state being linked and a state not being linked to the first hammer. The impact tool ensures selections of a first hammering mode in which only the first hammer hammers the anvil and a second hammering mode in which the first hammer and the second hammer hammer the anvil.

  • Publication number: 20190047131
Abstract: An electric working machine in one aspect of the present disclosure includes a motor, a controller, and a setter. The controller is configured to change a rotational state of the motor, in response to an establishment of a condition for change after the motor is initiated, from a low speed rotation to a high speed rotation. The setter is configured to set, based on a situation in the motor in the low speed rotation, a control variable of the motor in the high speed rotation and/or the condition for change.
