  • Publication number: 20020144167
Abstract: A system for power-saving task processing is provided, which avoids sudden stop of execution of tasks (i.e., sudden stop of execution of motions of a battery-powered apparatus) due to lack or insufficiency of battery power and extends the usable period of the apparatus while keeping substantially the same result of execution of tasks. This system comprises (a) a remaining power detector for detecting remaining power of a battery; the remaining power detector outputting a detection result about a value or state of the remaining power of the battery; (b) a motion information storage for storing a motion information table; the motion information table defining a relationship between values or states of the remaining power of the battery on execution of a task and processes for which complete execution is ensured at the respective values or states of the remaining power of the battery; and (c) a task controller for controlling execution of tasks to be executed.

  • Patent number: 5113265
Abstract: An apparatus determines a recording mode of a frequency-modulated video signal read out from a recording medium. The apparatus extracts, from demodulated video signals, pulse signals related to vertical and horizontal synchronization signals. With consideration of a period defined by these pulse signals, the apparatus sets a predetermined period, in which, a signal containing a sync tip frequency component of the frequency-modulated signal is counted to determine the recording mode depending on a resultant count.

  • Patent number: 4873581
Abstract: A field/frame conversion circuit for use in a magnetic recording/reproducing apparatus which magnetically records and reproduces still images or the like. In the field/frame conversion circuit, after the frequency of a field signal obtained from a magnetic recording medium such as a magnetic disc and composed of frequency-multiplexed brightness and chroma signals is converted into a higher frequency band than the frequency band of the brightness signal, the field signal is delayed in the frequency modulated state thereof 0.5 horizontal scan period necessary for the field/frame conversion by a signal delay line having a wide band frequency characteristic. The thus delayed field signal and an undelayed field signal are selected alternately at every one vertical scan period by signal switching means so as to perform the field/frame conversion.

  • Patent number: 4766506
Abstract: A television synchronizing signal processing circuit includes a reproduction/demodulation circuit for repetitively reading a video signal corresponding to one field from a video signal recording medium and demodulating the video signal and for separating a synchronizing signal from a reproduced/demodulated signal, a first delay circuit for permitting the video signal of the reproduced/demodulated signal which is supplied for every other field from the reproduction/demodulation circuit to be delayed by a time corresponding to one half the period H of a horizontal synchronizing signal, a second delay circuit for delaying a vertical synchronizing signal of the synchronizing signal which is supplied from the reproduction/demodulation circuit, and a waveform synthesizing circuit for synthesizing output signals from the first and second delay circuits to produce a composite video signal. In the processing circuit, the second delay circuit has a variable time TD which is variable within a range of0<TD<H/2.

  • Patent number: 4758900
Abstract: A field/frame signal conversion method in a magnetic picture recording for use in an electronic still camera and the like is disclosed which prevents the lowering of a SN ratio of a field signal and the occurrence of flicker caused by delaying the field signal. In the field/frame signal conversion method, an operation of delaying the field signal for the field/frame signal conversion as well as for an arithmetic mean operation, performed for the purpose of preventing the occurrence of the V jitter caused by the field/frame signal conversion, is carried out in the frequency modulated condition of the field signal. Then the arithmetic mean operation is performed after the field signal is frequency demodulated and before it is de-emphasized.

  • Patent number: 4754341
Abstract: A skew jump correcting circuit for correcting a skew jump having a constant time interval between successive field signals in which the field signals are delayed in a variable delay line by a first delay period of time immediately after a switching point near the time the skew jump occurs, the amount of delay being gradually changed thereafter so that immediately before the next switching point the field signal is delayed by a second delay.

  • Patent number: 4719522
Abstract: In a magnetic recording method in which, for the purpose of tracking, a signal having a predetermined frequency is extracted from a reproduced FM recording signal recorded on a magnetic recording medium, and the magnetic head is brought to a position where the amplitude of the signal of predetermined frequency becomes substantially maxim; an FM recording signal recorded on a track of the recording medium is reproduced immediately after the recording, when dropout is detected in the recorded signal, a signal having a frequency other than the predetermined frequency is recorded on the same track in a relation superposed on the recorded signal, and the same recording signal as that recorded already on the dropout-including track is recorded on another track which may be the next adjacent track again.
