Abstract: An airbag configuration technology which contributes to intensive protection of a rider of a motorbike in case of accident, and other technologies related thereto are provided. An airbag apparatus including an airbag which is deployed and inflated in a rider protecting area defined in front of the rider in case of a front collision, an inflator capable of supplying inflation gas into the airbag, and a rectifying cloth capable of adjusting the flowing state of inflation gas fed from the inflator and flowing within the airbag is mounted to a motorcycle as a motorbike.

Abstract: An airbag constructing technology is provided that is useful for improving the protection of a driver upon the occurrence of a vehicle accident, and related techniques. The airbag apparatus to be mounted on an automotive two-wheeler has an airbag which is inflated in a driver-protecting area formed in front of the driver upon the occurrence of a front vehicle collision. This airbag has a tether connecting inner wall surfaces facing each other of the airbag. Inflation of the vehicle rear side wall of the airbag toward the driver is regulated via the tether. Inflation of the vehicle front side wall of the airbag toward the front vehicle is allowed. This tether is prepared by sewing first to third tether component pieces to each other sewn to the inner wall surface of the airbag.

Abstract: An airbag device includes an airbag and a retainer and is mounted to a motor-bicycle which is a motorcycle. The airbag is deployed and inflated in a rider protection area which is situated in front of a rider when the motor-bicycle collides at a location which is situated in front of the motor-bicycle. The retainer can accommodate the airbag. A second structural portion of the airbag is disposed outside the retainer and astride a central portion in a forward/backward direction, and is mounted to the front portion of a panel by mounting members.

Abstract: An airbag is provided that is constructed to protect a rider of a vehicle in an accident. In one form, an airbag device mounted to a motor-bicycle, which is a motorcycle, and comprising an airbag 122 and a long webbing 130 for securing the airbag 122 to the vehicle body. When the motor-bicycle collides at a location that is situated in front of the motor-bicycle, the airbag 122 is deployed and inflated while protruding towards a rider protection area that is situated in front of a rider. One end 130a of the webbing 130 is inserted into the airbag 122 through a vent hole 127 passing through a wall surface of the airbag 122 in order to, when the deployment and inflation of the airbag 122 are completed, restrict movement of the airbag 122 in a forward direction of the vehicle body, and to, during the deployment and inflation of the airbag 122, allow movement of the airbag 122 in a protruding direction.

Abstract: An airbag device is mounted to a motor-bicycle, which is a motorcycle, and includes an airbag which is deployed and inflated while protruding in a direction of a rider protection area that is situated in front of a rider when the motor-bicycle collides at a location that is situated in front of the motor-bicycle. Generally, the airbag device is mounted to a handlebar of the motorcycle. In a preferred form, with a recessed portion of a retainer being fitted to a handlebar body portion, the airbag device is mounted and secured to the handlebar by a body mounting member.

Abstract: A construction technology for an air bag which contributes to adequate protection of the driver in an accident, and related technologies are provided. A two-wheeled motor vehicle serving as a motorbike is equipped with an air bag device including an air bag for deploying and inflating in a driver-protection area formed on the front side of the driver in the event of a frontal collision and a retainer capable of storing this air bag. With respect to the air bag, a part of this air bag is disposed outside the retainer, and this disposition portion is mounted along the long-length direction (longitudinal direction) of a handlebar.

Abstract: A technology for constructing an airbag in which protection of the occupant may be thoroughly assured in case of accident of a motorbike and a technology relating thereto are provided. An airbag apparatus including an airbag which is deployed and expanded in an occupant crush protection area formed in front of an occupant in case of front collision and a cover body is provided on a motorcycle as a motorbike. The cover body can cover and uncover a handle and the airbag, and is torn at a thinned portion when the second component part of the airbag is deployed and expanded, and thus the second component part is uncovered.

Abstract: An air bag apparatus is provided on a motorcycle. The apparatus includes an air bag that is restricted so as not to be expanded toward a body constituent part, and is guided to be expanded toward a rider protection region in the expansion direction by providing the air bag so it is rolled and folded outwardly from the body constituent part of the motorcycle, allowing it to be expanded and inflated toward the rider protection region, which is formed in front of a motorcycle rider, and above the body constituent part of the motorcycle in the case of the forward collision of the motorcycle.

Abstract: An air bag apparatus is provided having an air bag that is configured to include portions that correspond to the rider motions generated in motorcycle accidents. The air bag apparatus has an air bag provided on a motorcycle and which includes a first expansion part which is expanded toward a rider protection region which is formed above a body constituent part of the motorcycle and in front of the motorcycle rider in the case of the forward collision of the motorcycle; and a second expansion part which is expanded toward a rider protection region at pitching which is formed in front of the motorcycle rider in the pitching of the motorcycle around a front wheel due to the forward collision of the motorcycle.
