  • Patent number: 4125994
Abstract: A timepiece gear train structure comprises a center wheel and pinion mounted between a third wheel bridge and a date wheel holder without use of a train wheel bridge as is customarily used in such gear train structures. A plate extends between the third wheel bridge and the date wheel holder and has an opening therein through which extends the intermediate part of the center wheel and pinion thereby rotably supporting the intermediate part thereof. The lower part of the center wheel and pinion is rotatably supported by the date wheel holder by means of a cannon pinion which encircles the lower part, an hour wheel which encircles the cannon pinion and a bush encircling a portion of the hour wheel and being fixed to the date wheel holder.

  • Patent number: 4057698
Abstract: A switching mechanism for a timepiece comprising a base plate having first and second bores extending therethrough and intersecting, a circuit board having a surface opposite the second bore and having stationary contacts mounted on the surface opposite the second bore, and a contact member disposed within the second bore and dimensioned to slide therein. The contact member has a transverse bore extending therethrough and alignable with the first bore through the base plate, and the contact member has a conductive lower end portion extending from the base plate and terminating at a contact surface for contacting to electrically connect the stationary contacts on the circuit board. A spring biases the contact member downwardly to a lowered position with the contact surface contacting the stationary contacts on the surface board.

  • Patent number: 4028881
Abstract: A calendar watch has rotatable date and day wheels each having teeth therearound. A winding stem is mounted on the watch for axial sliding movement and rotational movement and a correcting wheel is mounted for axial sliding movement on the winding stem. The correcting wheel has a first set of teeth engageable with teeth on the date wheel when the winding stem is moved to one axial position for effecting rotational movement of the date wheel to thereby make a date correction in response to turning of the winding stem in one rotational direction. The correcting wheel has a second set of teeth engageable with teeth on the day wheel when the winding stem is in the same axial position for effecting rotational movement of the day wheel to thereby make a day correction in response to turning of the winding stem in the other rotational direction.

  • Patent number: 4006374
Abstract: An electric micro motor for a timepiece comprises a rotor having a portion formed of a permanent magnet and a pair of magnetic stator pieces disposed in spaced-apart relationship with the rotor disposed therebetween. A pair of non-magnetic coupling members couple together the stator pieces and rotatably support the rotor. The rotor-stator pieces-coupling members assembly is contained within a magnetic cylinder so as to shield the micro motor from external magnetic noise.

  • Patent number: 3979901
Abstract: A construction of the gear train for a timepiece comprises a minute wheel, a third wheel and a fifth wheel, at least one of said wheels being coaxially and freely mounted on a common axle with the other of said wheels whereby the whole of said gear train is compactly constructed.
