  • Publication number: 20090238424
Abstract: A storage unit stores data of a first image associated with a contrast-enhanced cardiac region. A specification unit specifies a specific region included in the cardiac region on the basis of a distribution of pixel values of the data of the first image. A setting unit contracts the specified specific region, and set an ROI to the contracted specific region. A calculation unit calculates an index concerning the set ROI. The index is associated with a function of the specific region.

  • Publication number: 20090028289
Abstract: A CT value of an image within a region of interest is calculated with time. While the calculated CT value does not exceed a predetermined threshold value, a reconstruction mode used when an image is reconstructed from projection data is set to half reconstruction. On the other hand, while the calculated CT value exceeds a predetermined threshold value, the reconstruction mode is set to segment reconstruction.

  • Publication number: 20090028409
Abstract: An X-ray tube generates X-rays. An X-ray detector detects X-rays generated from the X-ray tube and transmitted through an object to be examined. A rotating frame continuously rotates the X-ray tube and the X-ray detector around the object. A reconstruction unit reconstructs a plurality of first volume data sets with different scan times for the same scan area of the object on the basis of an output from the X-ray detector. An image processing unit generates single second volume data set corresponding to a maximum value, an average value, a median value, or minimum value of the plurality of reconstructed first volume data sets in the temporal direction.

  • Publication number: 20080130824
Abstract: An X-ray computed tomographic apparatus includes an X-ray tube which generates X-rays, an X-ray detector which detects X-rays transmitted through a subject and generates projection data, and a reconstruction unit which generates a plurality of original volume data at different scanning times based on the projection data. This apparatus includes an unit which obtains difference volume data corresponding different scanning times by performing difference processing between original volume data at adjacent scanning times, an unit which extracts a blood vessel image on the basis of original volume data before and after the injection of a contrast medium, and an unit which generates a display image by providing the blood vessel image with color or luminance information corresponding to the arrival time of the contrast medium on the basis of the blood vessel image and the plurality of difference volume data corresponding to the different scanning times.

  • Publication number: 20070098134
Abstract: An X-ray computed tomography apparatus calculates transfer functions h(t) using a time-concentration curve Ca(t) for pixels of a cerebral artery and a time-concentration curve Ci(t) for pixels of cerebral tissues including capillary vessels and then calculates a delay time for each pixel of an object region from a time when an artery curve rises on the basis of the transfer functions. Further, the apparatus differently produces a visual color map showing time differences of blood flow conditions and provide it in a predetermined form by coloring pixels with a time delay from the other pixels without a time delay on the basis of the calculated delay time.
