Abstract: Compositions, containing glycine and serine and having a content ratio of glycine to serine (glycine/serine) of not less than 0.6 in weight ratio are effective for improving cognitive function, and have an effective preventive or improving effect on a decline in cognitive function and cognitive dysfunction, are highly safe, and enable continuous ingestion or administration.

Abstract: A module aroma mixture involves a main aroma component and mixture including hexyl acetate and limonene, and at least one type of compound selected from the group of isoamyl acetate, ethyl 2-methylpentanoate, trans-2-hexen-1-ol, alpha-damascone, cis-3-hexen-1-ol, linalool, ethyl acetate, ethyl 2-methylacetate, nonanal, neral, neryl acetate, geranial, geranyl acetate, citronellol, nerol, geraniol, ethyl propionate, hexanal, ethyl hexanoate, rose oxide, hexanol, cis-3-hexenyl acetate, methyl anthranilate, diethyl malonate, ethyl decanoate, octanal, decanal, ethyl 2-methylpentanoate, 2-tert-butylcyclohexyl acetate, and dimethylphenethylcarbinyl acetate, wherein from 0.05 to 5% by mass of the module aroma mixture is blended relative to a total amount of the module aroma mixture and the main aroma component.

Also provided is a fragrance composition having excellent rose-like naturalness, freshness, and richness. More specifically, provided are: a fragrance composition, having added thereto 2-isopropyl-4-methylthiazole alone or in combination with rose oxide; a method of manufacturing the same; and a method of imparting an aroma to a fragrance composition, the method including adding 2-isopropyl-4-methylthiazole to a base fragrance composition having a rose-like aroma as a main aroma.
