  • Patent number: 10201908
Abstract: A wood or resin cutting tool with improved durability is provided. The wood or resin cutting tool is composed of a base material made of steel or a cemented carbide alloy, and a coating formed on at least one of the rake face and the clearance face of the cutting tool. The coating includes a periodic structure layer made of chromium oxynitride, in which high oxygen regions having a high concentration of oxygen in the texture and low oxygen regions having a lower concentration of oxygen in the texture than the high oxygen regions periodically exist in the thickness direction of the coating. The periodic structure layer is formed such that the nitrogen concentration periodically turns high and low in the thickness direction of the layer corresponding to the high oxygen regions and the low oxygen regions.

  • Patent number: 10179366
Abstract: The invention suppresses chipping of a cutting edge of a cutting tool while maintaining sharpness of the cutting edge. [Solution] A coating (20) of a replaceable knife (10) of the cutting tool is formed so that either one of a rake-face coating portion (22) that coats a rake face (14) or a clearance-face coating portion (24) that coats a clearance face (16) becomes thicker than the other. The film thickness of the thicker coating portion (22, 24) is set in a range of 0.5 ?m to 15.0 ?m, and a ratio of the film thickness of the thinner coating portion (24, 22) to the film thickness of the thicker coating portion (22, 24) is set in a range of 0.01 to 0.15.

  • Publication number: 20130238101
Abstract: The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for estimating load inertia and a method for adjusting control parameters. To achieve this aim, a load position control test is performed in a load position control system, based on a feedback control system (21) and a first position deviation (??) generated at a prescribed load position (?L) is estimated. Then, in a load inertia estimation model (60) which is a model of a load position control system, a load position control simulation of a feed system model is performed based on a feedback control system model, a load inertia (JL) included in the feed system model is adjusted, and the load position control simulation repeated until a second position deviation (??) that generated at this time at the prescribed load position equals the first position deviation.
