A guide member is provided on an inner wall face of the frame disposed at a lower portion inside the paper magazine. The guide member is configured for coming into contact with a terminal end of the paper delivered from the paper magazine which end assumes a hanging-down posture as a result of a paper rewinding operation effected after detachment of the terminal end from said shaft portion as a result of a paper delivering operation effected with the paper magazine being set under a predetermined posture.

    Abstract: A roller carrying mechanism and photographic processing device is presented where pressing rollers 82, 84 are shiftable between a press-contact position at which the pressing rollers 82, 84 are rotated as follows while sandwiching the photographic paper 2 between the driving rollers 81, 83 and a press-contact releasing position at which the pressing rollers 82, 84 are disposed away from the driving rollers 81,83. Since a belt 98 having a circular cross section is extended between the pulleys 96, 97, even when only one of two pressing rollers 82, 84 is at the press-contact position and is rotated in an interlocking manner with one pressing roller. Accordingly, an impact which is applied to the photographic paper 2 when the pressing roller 84 is brought into contact with the photographic paper 2 can be made small.

    Abstract: A film developing process automatically conveys film to a film developing section. When a cartridge conveyed intermittently by a cartridge conveying device is conveyed to a first stop position, a tapered tongue drawing device is actuated to draw an end portion of a film strip out of the cartridge. At a second stop position, a cutting device and a punching device are operated to cut the tapered tongue and form coupling holes on the end portion of the film strip respectively. At a third stop position, a reinforcing label is applied to the end portion of the film strip by a label sticking device. At fourth and fifth stop positions, the end portions of the film strips are coupled with a leader sheet which has been conveyed and stopped at the other side of the fourth and fifth stop positions. The cartridges are then conveyed together with the leader sheet into the film developing section.

    Abstract: A film feeding apparatus includes a roller pair for pinching a film stored and wound within a film container or its leader, and a restricting passage for restricting a posture of a non-pinched portion of the film or its leader. The roller pair is disposed in such a manner that the film or its leader is entrained about one roller of the roller pair in an arcuate form toward an upstream side in a film feeding direction relative to a pinching position of the roller pair. With driving rotation of the roller pair pinching the film or its leader, the film is withdrawn from the film container held at a holding portion to be fed to a film processing section. The restricting passage is curved along an entraining passage of the roller for the film or its leader as the restricting passage is viewed in a direction of an axis of the roller.

A stationary knife 11 is mounted to the leader positioning head 10. A movable knife 12 is mounted for pivotal movement to the stationary knife 11. A film holddown plate 17 is pivotably mounted to the knife mounting base 7. The knife mounting base 7 is also provided with a pair of punches 28 which are arranged slidable and can be lowered by the film holddown plate 17.

    Abstract: A splicer bed has a leader support on a top thereof. An opening is provided in one end of the leader support. A knife mounting base is arranged to project from the opening and is provided at one end with a cartridge holder. The knife mounting base has a leader positioning head provided on the other end thereof for determining the position of a leader. A stationary knife is mounted to the leader positioning head. A movable knife is mounted for pivotal movement to the stationary knife. A film holddown plate is pivotably mounted to the knife mounting base. The knife mounting base is provided with a pair of punches which are arranged slidably and can be lowered by the film holddown plate. Before the leading portion of a film is drawn out from a film cartridge loaded in the cartridge holder is held under the film holddown plate, the downward movement of the film holddown plate causes the punches to cut two notches in both side edges of the film.

    Abstract: The leader attached to a web of film is cut from the film while processing the film in a photographic processing machine. Before feeding the film to the printing unit, the leader is separated from the film. At a turning point where the film feed direction extending from the film drying unit to the printing unit changes, the film is fed straight ahead and the leader is cut off the film by a cutter. The film is fed back in a reverse direction and its end is turned up by a guide. When the printing unit gets vacant, the film without the leader is fed into the printing unit.
