  • Patent number: 11934126
Abstract: A heating device includes a first rotator, a heater including a base and a heat generator, and a second rotator contacting the first rotator. The heat generator adjacent to the base defines a heat generation area having one edge close to one edge of the base in a longitudinal direction of the base. A length between the one edge of the base and the one edge of the heat generation area is longer than a length between the other edge of the base and the other edge of the heat generation area. The second rotator has one edge close to the one edge of the heat generation area. A length between the one edge of the second rotator and the one edge of the heat generation area is shorter than a length between the other edge of the second rotator and the other edge of the heat generation area.

  • Patent number: 7293624
Abstract: A flip-up type hood for a vehicle, includes a vehicle body forming the vehicle, a hood body pivotally supported by the vehicle body through a pair of hood hinges attached to a rear end of hood body, and actuators provided in the vehicle body to apply a flip-up forces on rear portions of the hood body 10 and wires for connecting a designated part of the hood body with the vehicle body. In the hood, a length of each wire is established so as to allow the wire to be strained on condition that the hood body is flipped up. In operation, the strained wires operate so as to constrain the hood body to the side of the vehicle body, it is possible to suppress the rear portion of the hood body from being flipped up excessively and also possible to prevent an occurrence of flip-flop action of the hood body when the rear portions of the hood body is raised by the actuators.

  • Patent number: 5143514
Abstract: A diffuser of a centrifugal compressor for guiding a fluid flowing from an impeller to a scroll. The diffuser is formed by a pair of oppositely disposed lateral walls. The diffuser is provided at a fluid outlet portion thereof with an outlet throttling portion. This outlet throttling portion is formed by gradually narrowing the passage width downstream from a starting point which is located in a position at which the fluid dynamic pressure is almost perfectly changed to a static pressure. The provision of the outlet throttling portion decreases the risk of a pressure loss, restrains the possibility of flow separation and prevents the fluid from reversely flowing from the scroll. This results in improvements in surge line and partial load efficiency.

  • Patent number: 5095714
Abstract: A surging prediction device for a centrifugal compressor has a differential pressure detector and a controller. The detector detects a differential pressure between a hub side pressure in the vicinity of an inlet or a diffuser in the centrifugal compressor and a shroud side presser in the vicinity of the inlet of the diffuser. The controller compares the detected differential pressure from the detector with a set differential pressure beforehand set so as to be lower than a surging differential pressure between the hub side pressure and the shroud side pressure at an occurrence time of surging, and outputs a surging signal predicting an occurrence of surging when the detected differential pressure becomes higher than the set differential pressure.
