  • Publication number: 20060198355
Abstract: A time division multiplexing synchronization apparatus, radio communication apparatus, and synchronization method in time division multiplex communication that enable power savings to be achieved and synchronization to be performed dependably with a signal from the intended station. From the start of communication until a slot containing frame information can be confirmed, data reception is performed only for a fixed time each time the UW of a slot is detected, and data reception is not performed in other periods. By this means power consumption can be reduced, and since unwanted synchronization is not performed for a disturbing wave of another station or the like, synchronization can be maintained dependably.

  • Publication number: 20040242251
Abstract: A radio communication apparatus that enables synchronization to be maintained reliably on a receiving side. In this apparatus, a UW detector (106) detects a UW included in a time division multiplexed mobile station received signal. A timing discrimination section (107) finds a timing difference between the UW detection timing and preset reference reception timing, and creates delay information from the found timing difference. A slot counter (109) overflows every slot and outputs an overflow signal reporting the next slot. Before a mobile station starts communication, a mobile station timing register (110) outputs at predetermined timing initial delay information obtained from a higher-level station, and after a mobile station starts communication, outputs at predetermined timing delay information input from the timing discrimination section (107).

  • Patent number: 6625125
Abstract: Based on the results of the detection of a unique word in a received signal with a unique word detecting portion and the detection of a correct CRC in a received signal with a CRC calculating portion, a microprocessor portion sends a reset signal to a timer portion. The reset signal resets the timer of the timer portion, and causes the timer portion to send a field strength measurement timing signal to a field strength measuring portion. The timer portion then automatically keeps track of the data slot timing and outputs the field strength measurement timing signal at every cycle of desired time-slot. Thus, the reliability of measuring the field strength of received radio wave for the desired station in a time-division multiple access can be improved, even if there is interference from other stations.

  • Patent number: 6515982
Abstract: The present invention reduces power consumption and costs for components, and improves acknowledgement speed by using a memory or the like used only for acknowledgement. A time-division multiple access radio communication device of the present invention includes a receive-data buffer portion for storing received data; a unique word detecting portion for detecting a unique word from the received data; a timer portion for counting time from the point at which the unique word is detected at the unique word detecting portion; a cyclic redundancy check (CRC) calculating portion for checking errors in the received data; and a send-data buffer portion for storing data to be sent. The time-division multiple access radio communication device is further provided with an acknowledgement data generating portion.
