  • Patent number: 10510318
Abstract: A vehicle mirror system that includes: an electronic rear-view mirror that is switchable between a display mode in which the electronic rear-view mirror displays, by means of a display component, vehicle rear-view ages captured by an image capturing component provided at a rear portion of the vehicle, and a reflecting mode in which the electronic rear-view mirror shows, by optical reflection, what is behind the vehicle; and a control component that causes switching of the electronic rear-view mirror to either the display mode or the reflecting mode in a case in which a determination criterion relating to a field of view in a rear direction of the vehicle has been met.

  • Patent number: 9677303
Abstract: An attachment structure for a door lock device includes (1) a rod provided at an outer side section, that is disposed such that a length direction of the rod is in the vehicle vertical direction, and that is coupled to a door outer handle to move vertically upon operation of the door outer handle; (2) a releasing section provided at an inner side section, that includes a joining section to which the rod is joined from the vehicle width direction outside, and that releases a locked state of the door lock device upon vertical movement of the rod; (3) a restricting section provided at the outer side section, and that restricts movement of the rod toward the vehicle width direction outside and in the vehicle front-rear direction; and (4) a guiding section provided at the releasing section, and that guides the rod into the joining section.

  • Patent number: 9360183
Abstract: A mirror apparatus for a vehicle includes a design body, a first emission member, a second emission member, a guide body and a differentiation portion. The design body includes a mirror provided at a vehicle, and the design body structures a design surface. The first emission member emits light and the second emission member emits light. The guide body guides the light emitted by the first emission member and the light emitted by the second emission member to an outer side of the design body. The differentiation portion makes directions in which the light emitted by the first emission member and the light emitted by the second emission member are guided by the guide body different.

  • Patent number: 8690363
Abstract: In a vehicle door mirror device, a base is attached to a door and covered with a base cover. A gasket is disposed on a door panel of the base cover, a seal portion of the gasket seals a gap between a lower side end of the base cover and the door panel. The seal portion is extended from the gasket toward the base cover side. Therefore, even if a dimension of the gap between the lower side end of the base cover and the door panel varies, the lower side end of the seal portion can be suppressed from being separated from an outer periphery of the base cover toward the inner side, the base cover can be suppressed from looking floating from the door panel, and appearance of the gap between the lower side end of the base cover and the door panel can be improved.

  • Patent number: 4783876
Abstract: A concealable wiper apparatus for a vehicle has a wiper assembly disposed in such a manner that the wiper assembly can be accommodated in an accommodating chamber provided inside the body of the vehicle and in the vicinity of a window glass. The wiper assembly is vertically moved between an accommodated position at which it is accommodated in the accommodating chamber and a raised position at which the wiper assembly wipes the window glass. In addition, a wiper arm which supports a wiper blade that wipes the window glass is adapted to be capable of expansion and contraction. Accordingly, when the wiper is not used, the wiper apparatus is accommodated in the accommodating chamber, so that it is possible to minimize the air resistance to the vehicle and reduce the size of the accommodating chamber.

  • Patent number: 4780926
Abstract: A wiper apparatus for a vehicle includes first and second arms. One end portion of the first arm is rigidly secured to a wiper arm pivoting shaft. One end portion of the second arm is secured to a wiper blade, and the other end portion of the second arm is pivotally supported by the other end portion of the first arm. A stretching mechanism is provided between the first and second arms for bending and stretching the second arm relative to the first arm. An actuator for activating the stretching mechanism is provided on the wiper arm pivoting shaft. Accordingly, when the wiper is not used, the second arm can be bent relative to the first arm, so that an occupant of the vehicle is allowed to have an improved view of the outside from the inside of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 4658925
Abstract: A wiper for wiping a windshield is concealed by a louver when the wiper is not used. When the engine needs to be cooled, however, the louver is moved such as to open a wiper housing portion. Thus, the engine room is opened through the wiper housing portion, whereby cooling of the engine is promoted.
