  • Publication number: 20050235572
Abstract: There is provided a weather strip embedding an insert 1 which comprises a plural number of arch-like plates 11 formed in a roughly reversed-U shape in section and positioned in parallel forming a certain space between each plate, and band-like connecting portions 12 for connecting each end edge of the arch-like plates 11, wherein the arch-like plates 11 are disconnected by cutting and removing the band-like connecting portions 12.

  • Patent number: 5716573
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for surface treatment of a weather strip, by which a surface appearance almost identical to an embossing process is obtained in a simplified way without requiring any post-treatment by, for example, an embossing roll, wherein a thin film compressed and deformed by causing thermoplastic resin powder grains 5, which are mixed with thermoplastic base resin 4 and are not completely melted at an extrusion molding temperature, to pass through a flow path 6 of die 1, is extrusion-molded on the surface of glass run 2, and the thin film portion is applied as a sliding plane 3 for door glass.

  • Patent number: 5377449
Abstract: A glass-run channel is capable of reducing the sliding resistance by reducing the deformation resistance thereof to thereby cause the glass to move with ease. It comprises a body 10 having an opening which is in a U-shape in cross section and lips 21 and 22 which protrude from both ends of the opening of the body 60 toward the center line of the body 10 through which a glass 30 slides wherein the glass-run channel is formed of two kinds of materials. That is, the body 10 is formed of a soft material S having a JIS (A) hardness of 30 to 80 degrees, preferably 60 to 75 degrees and partly formed of a hard material H having a JIS (A) hardness of 70 to 100 degrees, preferably 85 to 95 degrees at least at part thereof where the body 10 elastically contacts the glass 30 wherein the portion where the lips 21 and 22 elastically contacts the glass 30 is harder than the body 10.
