  • Patent number: 5831626
Abstract: A plurality of correction look-up tables are prepared corresponding to offsets of halftone dot areas. An offset of a halftone dot area including the subject pixel is calculated, and a correction look-up table specified by the offset is selected in order to correct an input density value. Threshold values read out from an SPM (screen pattern memory) 130 may be corrected instead. Alternatively, a plurality of SPMs are prepared, each of which stores corrected threshold values corresponding to each offset, and an appropriate SPM is selected according to the offset. Accordingly, halftone dots are generated to faithfully reproduce a desired tone specified by multi-tone image data.

  • Patent number: 5628463
Abstract: A removal of static electricity from a conductive coating can be used in an electrostatic coating system. A conductive liquid is atomized or formed into droplets and supplied to an electric insulating vessel. A supply port is thereby insulated from a stored liquid surface by making use of electric insulation characteristics of air. The liquid is atomized and ionized while applying a high voltage to the liquid storage system, and sprayed onto a charged article to discharge it.

  • Patent number: 5592169
Abstract: A remote control transmitter used for a switching of a state of a door lock device between a locked state and an unlocked state and so on comprises a portable-size case, operating buttons provided on an outer surface of the case, a secondary battery provided within the case, a solar battery provided on the outer surface of the case and rechargeably connected to the secondary battery, and a generator for generating a coded signal. One terminal of each operating button is connected to a positive terminal of the secondary battery and the other terminal is connected to a positive terminal of the generator. When one of the operating buttons is pushed, electric current is fed from the secondary battery to the generator.

  • Patent number: 5585620
Abstract: An image reading device (image scanner) includes a resolution changing device that changes a resolution of the image signals output by a photoelectric sensor device by changing a primary scanning direction aperture size, a secondary scanning direction aperture size, or both, of the photoelectric sensor device. In order to change a resolution in the secondary scanning direction, the secondary scanning direction aperture size is changed, for example, by a control device that controls a drive velocity of a drive device that drives the photoelectric sensor device in the secondary scanning direction relative to an original document. Alternatively, the control device can control a duration of an integral time of the photoelectric sensor device during which the photoelectric sensor elements of the photoelectric sensor device collect light from the original document in order to vary the secondary scanning direction aperture size.

  • Patent number: 5525875
Abstract: A power supplying apparatus for a powered latching mechanism attached to a sliding door which moves along a vehicle body so as to be open and closed comprises a power supplying unit provided on the vehicle body and connected to an electric battery, a power receiving unit provided on the door and coming into contact with the supplying unit when the door is closed to a predetermined position, an electric loop which is established when both the units comes into contact with each other and in which a first electric current for detecting the contact between both the units is caused to flow, a motor controlled by the receiving unit for rotating a latch towards a full-latched position, and means for changing voltage applied to the electric loop when closing of the door is completed by the motor. When the loop is established, the supplying unit begins supplying main power to the receiving unit, and when the voltage of the loop is changed by the changing means, the supplying unit stops supplying the main power.

  • Patent number: 5071113
Abstract: A sheet paper feed unit comprises an actuator, which is formed of a piezoelectric device, and an idling roller, and sheet paper is clamped between the actuator and idling roller and transported by the vibration of the piezoelectric device. A control unit determines information pertinent to a parameter specific to the sheet paper to be transported, and imparts a drive condition which complies with the information to the piezoelectric drive unit. The piezoelectric device is activated in the condition which complies with the paper specific parameter, whereby the sheet paper is transported at a stable speed.

  • Patent number: 5055554
Abstract: The present invention relates to a renal growth promoter based on the finding that luteinizing hormone or an isoform thereof has an effect of promoting renal growth. It was previnsly unknown that luteinizing hormone or an isoform thereof has an effect of promoting renal growth. With the present invention, it is expected that kidneys suffering from a decreased in the number of renal cells or a lowering in the renal function may be activated by administering luteinizing hormone or an isoform thereof.
