  • Patent number: 11801372
Abstract: A microneedle array to be used instead of a syringe has, at a tip side of each microneedle, two or four puncture portions disposed facing each other. The puncture portions each have a part of a side surface of each microneedle as outer surfaces, respectively, and one of the puncture portions is shorter than the other(s). A housing section capable of holding a drug is formed by inner surfaces of the puncture portions of each microneedle. The housing section opens toward the tip side and lateral directions orthogonal to an axis core of each microneedle, and has a central bottom surface at a bottom end. The inner surfaces facing each other and forming the housing section of each microneedle each have a downward slope, with a width between the inner surfaces getting narrower as it goes down from tips of the respective puncture portions toward the central bottom surface.

  • Patent number: 6408899
Abstract: An apparatus for encrusting a filling material is provided. The apparatus includes a screw-transferring apparatus to transfer a filling material and encrusting material, and vane pumps to transfer the respective filling and encrusting materials to a combining nozzle. The combining nozzle combines the crust that is supplied by the vane pump for crusts out of the filling material that is supplied by the vane pump for filling materials. Each screw-transferring apparatus includes horizontal screws. Each vane pump has a vertical rotating shaft. The end of each screw is free and is positioned at the inlet of each vane pump. At the inlet of each vane pump a food-guide plane is formed. That plane is tangent to a trajectory of the outer edge of the vane of the vane pump. The trajectory forms a circle that has the biggest diameter among all of the trajectories defined by the outer edges of the vanes when the vanes rotate.

  • Patent number: 6254697
Abstract: The present invention provides a cast steel material for pressure vessels which has improved impact resistance (weldability) and toughness while maintaining its creep rupture strength at a level equal to or higher than the excellent creep rupture strength currently possessed by CrMoV cast steel, as well as a method of making a pressure vessel (or cast steel article) by using this cast steel material which permits a pressure vessel to be made without requiring a material working step such as forging. Specifically, the present invention relates to a cast steel material for pressure vessels which contains C, Si, Mn, Ni, Cr, Mo, V, W, Nb and/or Ta, B, Ti, Al, N, O, P and S in predetermined proportions, the balance being Fe and incidental impurities, provided that the contents of Ti, Al, O and N satisfies the following relationship: N−0.29{Ti−1.5((O−0.89Al)}≦0.

  • Patent number: 6139893
Abstract: A simple method and apparatus is provided for manufacturing raised-brim products in which the end of a continuous bar-shaped dough body is fed into an opening surrounded by a plurality of movable cutting members. The bar-shaped dough body includes a filling material enclosed within a cylindrical dough sheet. Each of the cutting members includes a slanted inner surface and a lower surface which meet at an acute angle to form an edge, and the lower surface includes a concave groove located adjacent to and extending along the edge. The cutting members are cooperatively moved such that the edges of the plurality of cutting members cut the bar-shaped dough body to form a separated portion which includes filling material exposed on an upper surface thereof, and such that the slanted inner surface pulls the dough sheet to close the cut end of the bar-shaped dough body.

  • Patent number: 6113960
Abstract: A method for coating food pieces with powder material. The apparatus includes a drum having a pair of opposing side openings, and engaging members mounted on a cylindrical inner surface thereof. Powder material is sifted by the engaging members as the drum is rotated. An inlet member extends through one of the openings and deposits food pieces into the drum such that one food piece is deposited onto the powder material located between each adjacent pair of engaging members at a bottom portion of the drum. Rotation of the drum causes the food piece to roll on the powder material, thereby completely coating the food piece, and causes the engaging members to lift the coated food pieces to an upper portion of the drum until the coated food pieces roll or slide off of the engaging members. An outlet member is positioned to receive the coated food pieces as they roll or slide from the engaging members.
