  • Publication number: 20190190238
Abstract: Various embodiments of the present technology comprise a method and apparatus for an ignition system. In various embodiments, the ignition system activates a soft shutdown of an ignition coil in the event of an over dwell condition. The apparatus comprises a first counter and a second counter that are selectively activated at predetermined events. An output of the second counter controls the value of a reference current that decreases linearly over time and wherein a rate of change of the reference current may be adjusted according to a frequency of a clock signal. In various embodiments, the soft shutdown operates independent of the supply voltage and temperature.

  • Patent number: 9441672
Abstract: A method for producing a holder in which sagging is suppressed in a bent part to be formed into a flange portion, without using bulge forming and a split mold that restrains the inside of a working target article; and a holder. An upper punch presses and bends one end portion of a working target article inward, whereby a flange portion is formed in the one end portion. A smaller-diameter portion of the working target article is restrained from the inside and outside by a lower punch and split mold portions. Then, a peripheral surface portion of a convex portion of the upper punch receives the end portion of the working target article and applies an outward pressure to the end portion. A bent part is pushed toward a larger-diameter portion restraining part of a split die, so that sagging is prevented from occurring in the bent part.

  • Patent number: 9237627
Abstract: Short circuit failures and open circuit failures of light-emitting elements used for the backlight in an LCD panel can be reliably and easily detected. The voltage at the node between each series-connected light-emitting element array and a drive circuit is detected as a monitored voltage. A maximum detector detects the highest and a minimum detector detects the lowest of these monitored voltages. Short circuit or open circuit failure of a light-emitting element is detected by comparing the voltage difference between the maximum detector output and the minimum detector output with a specific reference voltage.
