  • Patent number: 6501557
Abstract: A smart peripheral device includes a first interface which connects to the printer output port of a first personal computer and receives first printer data of a first printer format from the printer output port of the first personal computer. The smart peripheral device also includes a second interface for connecting to the I/O port of a second computer device containing predetermined application software. The smart peripheral automatically translates the first printer data into a general purpose import file which is compatible with the application saoftware of said second computer device, and outputs the general purpose import file via the second interface.

  • Patent number: 6138354
Abstract: A metallic corrugated plate applying to a cooling inner fin of a heat exchanger, wherein a bending angle .THETA. of an end bent ridge portion is smaller than bending angle .theta. of the other bent ridge portions. Thus, in case the bending angle .THETA. becomes large by a resilient force after forming the bent ridge portions, preventing a bending rigidity of the end bent ridge portion in the spreading direction from being reduced is possible. Accordingly, preventing the inner fin from being warped from substantially the center ridge of the bent ridge portion is attained.

  • Patent number: 6038950
Abstract: A cutting device cuts a flat tube in such a manner that a locus connecting each point where a blade tip of a blade portion of the cutting device is firstly introduced into the flat tube passes through a base portion of a frontmost side protrusion portion. Therefore, the bending moment generated due to a cutting force of the cutting device is decreased to prevent defective cutting.

  • Patent number: 5875668
Abstract: According to the present invention, a roll forming method includes a first roll forming process for forming a trapezoidal projecting portion at a center portion, a second roll forming process for gradually narrowing an upper side of the trapezoidal projecting portion to form a turnup projecting portion, a third roll forming process for forming perpendicularly folded portions at both sides, and a fourth roll forming process for folding a middle portion between the perpendicularly folded portion and the turnup projecting portion in a semi-circular shape. In this way, it is possible to form a turnup projecting portion, insides of which are closely contacted to each other with a curvature which is larger than the conventional curvature, with high speed.

  • Patent number: 5638264
Abstract: A parallelized power supply system including a plurality of switching power supplies each having a circuit for limiting rush current generated when a main switch is turned on. This system can be installed in an apparatus which requires the functions such as power uninterrupted operation and live wire insertion/dismount. Each switching power supply has another power supply for driving the rush current limiter circuit and a relay circuit for supplying relay driving current and making a connection of relay contacts after a predetermined time lapse after the operation start of the switching power supply. An a.c. power is supplied via the relay contacts to each switching power supply. The relay driving time set in the rush current limiter circuit is different for each switching power supply.

  • Patent number: 5295303
Abstract: The strip 2 is inserted between forming rollers 1a and 1b so that fins 3 are formed on the strip 2. The forming rollers 1a 1b have a line of protrusion protruding radially on the periphery thereof and the protrusion of one roller mates with protrusion of the other roller. A pair of forming rollers or more pairs of forming rollers are employed. A part of the strip 2 sandwiched between side face portions 13a and 14a of the protrusion 13 and 14 is pressed in the direction of the thickness of the strip with a stress between yield stress and maximum stress of the strip 2. To adjust the stress, a clearance G between protrusions is controlled.

  • Patent number: 5199144
Abstract: An apparatus for affixing a covering member to a padding so as to produce an armrest body for use on an automotive seat, wherein an upper die assembly, on which is secured the padding, is provided in a vertical movable way, and a lower die assembly is provided under the upper die assembly, the lower die assembly including a pair of guide belts and a pair of support members which are so disposed as to surround a drive source. The covering member, which exposes its reverse surfaces, is placed on those two support members and guide belts, and undergoes its turning-over to expose its top surfaces, with insertion of the padding thereinto, so that the covering member is neatly affixed over the padding.

  • Patent number: 5063706
Abstract: A device for exterminating pests having a cylinder filled with carbon dioxide in which (a) pesticide(s) is(are) dissolved, piping coupled to the cylinder, and a plurality of capillary nozzles affixed to the piping, and a method of exterminating pests employed this device. The capillary nozzles are designed such that, considering adjacent capillary nozzles, the ratio of the nozzle exit area of the capillary nozzle close to the cylinder to the nozzle exit area of the capillary nozzle remote from the cylinder is set between 1:1.3 and 1:1.8. As a result, numerous independent enclosed spaces can be sprayed with little labor and in a short time by means of a small number of devices.
